I would say that Song Book Pro is the Best program I have ever used to Play the chords and see the words playing in my band! The scrolling part is so awesome!! Also, I can look up and download songs in a mere matter of minutes!! I can change the chords of the song, and write my own songs with lyrics and chords!! If you have SongbookPro you know. This app has made my music life so much easier. Downloading new tabs is a breeze. I also write my own songs and use the app to catalog them all. Being able to create different set lists is helpful keep me organized. I have my solo gigs separated from my bands bar playlists and weddings, etc. I would recommend the app. Extremely helpful. I have really enjoyed using this program and I’ve been very surprised at the features it contains and now I would be lost without it especially during my teaching sessions. I gave it five stars although it does have a couple of small glitches. Every once in a while the program will shut down for some reason and I have found that quite large files, like a book of music, will shut down the program as soon as the file opens. The only other issue is that any notations you make in a piece of music do not follow the music if you change orientation by going from portrait to landscape. Show more

This app is simple which is why it’s good. Things that could be better: Adjustable font sizing and color would be nice. A zoom feature when painting/marking up side notes could be added. Add a minor key for song key. ****FOR THE DEVELOPERS**** The BIGGEST issue is when adding a capo on the song key, it transposes DOWN and not UP. So if my song is in E and I capo 1st fret I should be in F but the app will say Eb instead. This is wrong and needs to be fixed. Show more

I’m coming from the free version of Songbook so I paid for this one expecting it to be a lot more refined. I converted all of my songs over to Pro and I immediately ran into some ergonomic issues. There is no way to edit or add chords outside of entering the chord in the song file. Then, the software picks the default chord shape which is sometimes not the chord I want to play. It also does not show all the chords at one time, just a few until it runs out of space. The auto scroll feature starts as soon as you open the file. It should start scrolling on the song start and stop scrolling when the song ends. Sometimes the software will lose the link between the song associated with the display, requiring a re-link. There are perhaps a few others, but these are the ones that stick out the most. Show more

I have given this app 1 star because the app will not restore on my iPad. It will not let me add songs and states I must pay for another new application before I can add any other songs to it. The company will not help me .. They only state they will get back to me and never do. Show more

literally for only like 4 dollars ever, you can have access to millions of songs, auto scroll, great printable versions, easy transposal etc. also you can add you own music on there and I use that a lot for printing, transposing etc. really great system for adding music too. Show more

Good app for the singer songwriter. Stable, simple interface, good level of user control. Would love to see chords editable so I can customize where I play that Bm and have it with my song but the fact that it picks up the chords just from my symbols is dope! Been using for years now on Windows, iPad and Android. Worth the price…allowed me to ditch the paper permanently and haven’t regretted it. Would love to see more regular updates, but releases are stable. Show more

We all use this in my band to stay linked up on lyrics and set lists. It automatically syncs through Dropbox and works great!

SongbookPro gives me everything I need in a chart display, with many user options for displaying and organizing. And the ease of adding new songs is great, quick and easy. Easy to edit charts too. Due caution is recommended though because the source charts are simply user submissions from ultimate guitar. Accuracy varies. The only suggestion I’d have for improvement would be a batch download capability, where you could select several songs of a given performer for example, and download them all at once instead of returning to the search for each individual song. But the ability to have all of my music and lyrics at my fingertips for display is fabulous. Show more
