    Only 4 supported headphones? What?!
I don’t understand what’s going on here. On the desktop app sonarworks supports an incredible amount of headphone profiles, and in the videos I watched it seemed like that was the case for the mobile app too, but when I downloaded it for iOS in the setup it’s only giving me 4 headphone options, rather obscure ones at that. None of which I have. I can’t seem to get around having to choose one, so I’m not sure if I could use this app in any way. I don’t really care if they have my headphone profile, all I want is to access a custom eq so I can bring down a high shelf and cut down on ear fatigue from these bright headphones, but can’t figure it out how to get past the setup. Help! Am I missing something? I’ve had a lot of respect for sonarworks until now so I’m really vexed by what they’ve made here Show more

I love this app, changes the feel of headphones for the better
I love this app, changes the feel of headphones for the better, plenty of headphones they have done eq for but for some reason all of my headphones I put in the app are gone on pc and app now? Only my audiotechica ATH-AD700x are still on it. None the less, this program is a game changer Show more

    Not quite there yet
Big disappointment that calibration really only works on 4 specific types of headphones. Any common pairs like airpods or studio headphones, you are limited to listening to pointless little ringtone type songs within the app. You CANNOT listen to streaming services, or anything else. And unfortunately, even if you DO have one of the four that can save Sound Id profiles on it, they don’t connect half the time, I find myself constantly hitting “forget this device” and re-pairing my headphones to get the app to recognize them. Please work on this more, it has SUCH POTENTIAL. Show more

Guess my Expectations Were Too High
I had written before about the lack of accessibility of this app for blind folks. I had hoped the developers might actually do the right thing and make this app useable by everyone. I suppose that is still too much to ask. Show more

    Can’t connect.
Can not connect my monolith m-twe. It works just once and after that it stopped working. I am not going to unpair and pair the earbuds every time I want to use sound id. Shame!!! Show more

    does not work
This app creates a sound profile to use on a computer rather than altering the sound on your phone, read: waste of time, do not download. If you want a sound profile for your pc, use your pc. Show more

Great for owners of supported headphones.
I love the value it adds to my Drop THX Pandas. I actually bought them because of the integration with this app. I have had moments of finicky-ness with syncing eq profiles but I’m not sure if that’s due to the headphones or the app. But it’s never taken more than 2 tries to successfully sync. It would be really cool to be able to have multiple custom presets for when you have a sound you like and want to see if it could be tweaked to be better but dont want to lose a good sound or go through the 15 minutes it would take to painstakingly recreate your eq profile. It’s not really feasible to manually save and recall custom eq presets because of the lack of db readings to the 10ths place, so -2 db could mean -2.1 or -2.9. Even just 3 slots would be a welcome addition! Show more

    IOS Version Confusion
Hello! I see that there’s a chance this will be able to work on IOS. Is there any update on when that might be? It would be incredible to be able to use this app across the entire IOS audio. Also, is there a decibel slider in the app somewhere like in the OS version? Show more

    Impressively good!
Pretty good! Just wish classical music was an option for the tests.

Drop THX finally connects (needs firmware update)
Update your headphone firmware if you can’t connect. Unclear if the settings chosen stick with the headphones without the mac applications. Seems like not? Cool to see it working either way Show more

Not actually for your iOS/mobile device - setup for paid computer program
Name says all. This isn’t to adjust the use of your headphones ON your iPS device. It’s a free app so that you can use a paid computer program. Show more

    Regarding the most recent update
Hello there! I wanted to point out that since the most recent update (2021.01.11), there has been a disconnect between the iOS application and the SoundID app on a Windows 10 computer: preference updates don’t seem to sync as expected to Windows and appear to be overridden by the existing profile on Windows. I’ve tested this by creating a test (custom) preference (with dramatically reduced low-end frequencies) - but the audio profile on my Windows machine continues to sound the same and doesn’t appear to update. Also, the app will change the icon/symbol set when a custom profile is selected, but is soon overridden by whatever icons/symbols were shown in the SoundID app on Windows. I’ve tried uninstalling the app completely on all of my devices and deleting my profile, but the issue persists. Otherwise, I appreciate the effort you all have put into the app, and look forward to being an ongoing user! Show more

    Disappointing
As someone who uses Sonarworks when working on headphones in my DAW, I was excited to see an iOS app... but for some reason, it doesn’t do anything to improve your iOS listening experience outside of the app. I was impressed with my “Sound Profile” after I went through the set up, but the corrective EQ is only active when you’re in their app, and I can’t listen to my music from there... So I guess if you’re like me, somebody who was excited at the possibility of having Sonarworks on my phone, you’ll probably be disappointed too. If they ever make this work like their Reference software does, I’ll come back to the app in a heartbeat and likely change my tune. Show more

Completed all sound test and signed up for 30 day trial. App allows you to add 1 track at a time, instead of a playlist and it didn’t retain the songs I added. Maybe you’ll have better luck! Show more
