Fake results to entice you buy their Mac app
I spent 10-15 mins going through all three tests. The process was kinda fun and I enjoyed the different demo loops they had. When I got to the end I connected to Spotify and played a few songs I was familiar with and both the “on” and “off” had a different sound then I was used to. I swap over to the actually Spotify app and play the same songs and it actually sounded better then both modes on the Sound ID app. So it seems as if they are artificially making the “off” sound worse so that the “on” sounds like a major improvement when really it’s not, (at least for me). The fact that the iOS app does nothing after this is pretty dumb. Aside form “testing” music from Spotify in the app, it’s not an actual music player so after the setup is done you can’t really do anything unless you pay the money for the Mac-only app subscription. So yeah, fun for a while but ultimately I am uninstalling this app. Show more

Add support for Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro
App only supports a few headphones and doesn't really help if you're headphones aren't on that list. Please add support for the: Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro

    Pure Listening Pleasure
SoundID works with the phone, speakers, or laptop you already have and delivers an instant upgrade to your listening pleasure. You no longer have to be in an ideal audiophile listening environment to experience the mix as it was intended for your ears. Best of all, your personalized SoundID is saved and can be used with any new devices or speakers that you may use in the future. Show more

    Useless App, Totally Glitched, Avoid
Created a log profile, verified my email, tried logging in and that’s pretty much all the app does. You log in over and over and nothing happens. Total fail, and professional artist use this code for their music? Highly unlikely Show more

    Great concept!
The concept is great and I loved the ability to get a customized sound profile after choosing which ”sounds better.” However I wanted to sample my sound profile using my connected Spotify premium account, and whenever I click on a track, the song doesn’t play? Pretty significant bug if I can’t hear what my own music sounds like with the new profile. Edit: used the wrong email to log in to my Spotify account. Works great and makes my AirPods sound like expensive headphones Show more

Does Nothing For Your iOS Device
SonarWorks Review: SoundID [Edit: Added stars after Sonarworks granted Tru-Fi users a license; this address my “abandonware” complaint. Thank you.] TL;DR - With SoundID (iOS), SonarWorks would like to provide input, personal profiles, into their MacOS “SoundID Listen” product. Pros: - Hasn’t crashed - Nice design - The company is responsive - Good intentions - Excellent promise Cons: - SoundID does...nothing?... for your iOS device at this time. I wish there were no ratings for this sort of utility. This is not an iOS equalizer. In fact, this is nothing for your iOS device. I believe it is primarily a utility for the SonarWorks MacOS application, “SoundID Listen.” As such, it should not even be given a rating in the iOS App Store. It is a companion utility app. I’d like to thank SonarWorks for clarifying the cost of their iOS app. Paying nothing for an iOS app that does nothing for my iOS device seems fair. It works with a $44 a year subscription for their MacOS applicaiton to be useful today. Be sure to check SonarWork’s website to see if they have support for your headphones before spending $44 a year. Show more

    Dope!
I thought the app on both iOS and OS worked seamlessly. The sound profiles are interesting to me, especially as a mixing engineer. Feel like after I did all the test, my hearing experience was accurate! Felt like I was hearing bass, especially real low notes better than I have before! Show more

    Nice!
Easy to use, can try for free and pair with a desktop 60-day trial. Anyone familiar with Sonarworks will see a familiar approach, now with individualized preference, and hearing, profile testing for a lot of popular headphones. Worth checking out! Show more

    Love this App!
I discovered Sound ID from being a Sonarworks user for years and I am equally as happy with this as I am Reference 4! I hope to be able to be an audio engineer into my later years and I feel that this app will play a huge roll in me being able to do that effectively. The A-B identification process was straight forward, accurate, and I was really happy with my ID profile at the end! Excited to see the further development of this app. Show more

    Great sound
Finally an app that allows me to hear my music with a quality that was made for me. Ez to use and setup.

    Interesting concept...but
Installed this on my iPhone 7 yesterday and went through the personalization steps for my Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 cans. I know I have hearing damage from years of firearms and construction noise. Especially in the right ear. I think the sound was improved, but I'm only able to play the generic sample tune. The app won't let me sign into my Spotify premium account, which I've had for years. I would really like to be able to use this on my lossless iTunes files. Songs I really know, so I can tell if things have improved sonically. Two stars for now, let's see what happens. Show more

    Forced into music service use?
This app is a replacement, as i understand it, for a headphone profiling app that accessed itunes. I loved that app. It no longer works with itunes, i guess, and the developer made no mention of that as i was recreating the profile i had made for the old app. So, after creating the new profile i refused the service. When reopening the app it forced me to start from scratch. I am now deleting the app. Show more

works great on mac but not ios
im giving 5 stars because this app is amazing on mac. sound is perfectly tuned for my liking. only issue on mac is that it seems that audio is quieter (using apple music) but that may just be the sound profile itself. however, on ios, aside from the process of personalizing the sound the app seems almost useless after. i wish i could get playback with my sound profile on my phone (through apple music) in the same way as on mac. overall though this is a GREAT app. if we could get profile playback on ios this app would literally be perfect like it already pretty much is on mac. keep up the good work???? Killer App! Just one request...
Firstly, this app rocks & what I’ve been missing. As an avid audiophile & music producer, I truly appreciate what Sonarworks has done to bring high fidelity to the masses. I’ve been using the desktop Reference app for a while, and it is indispensable for mixing/mastering, and overall critical listening. This new mobile app bridges the gap between home/studio use and on-the-go. Being able to trust my listening environment is critical, and this iOS app has expanded my range of trusted listening environments. Kudos to SonarWorks for amazing products!! Which leads me to my request.... Can something like this be integrated into the automotive environment? Having my vehicle calibrated is the final hurdle for trusting ALL of my listening environments. I use my iPhone to stream Tidal HiFi music files to the stereo in my cars, and I would love to have some sort of calibration app that is tuned to the vehicle. Maybe something where I can use my laptop to get all of the calibration measurements in-car, then send that calibration file to my phone, where any audio played from the phone goes through the calibration before it arrives at the stereo. Very similar to how the desktop Reference works right now, but portable. My vehicles already have decent sound, but they’re missing that magic “Sonarworks touch” that I’ve come to trust & rely upon. Fingers crossed that this is possible! Lastly, a big shout-out to SonarWorks customer support. They’re hands-down the best & fastest customer support I’ve ever experienced. Keep up the amazing work!! Great but where are my headphones?
Simple to use, great interface, and the resulting sound is amazing. My only complaint is that not all of my headphones are listed. The standard Razer Kraken, Beats urBeats3, and Audio-Technica ATH-CK3TW are not options. All of my Sony cans are on there. I just wish the gear I use most with my phone was on here. Show more

    App don’t work
    ????????

    Just... wow!
A few things: 1. This is amazing for the desktop environment. You guys absolutely need to creat the testing for desktop users seeing as the EQ settings can be set universally for sound as opposed to only being played through the app. 2. If you get this set to be universal on iPhone/Android with different profile selection this would be an absolute game changer. Having an EQ for desktop then one on my phone while on CarPlay would be absolutely amazing as I only have bass & treble for an output setting in car. 3. I hooked up my HD 660s using a few adapters to my iPhone (only way to use the EQ setup) went to my desktop and the difference in output is absolutely night and day. I love the difference! I’m using HD 660s with a JD element ? Show more
