Am I ~actually~ getting better at recognizing notes in a key or am I just getting better at this app? Not sure yet, but I’ve seen quick results and it definitely feels like some things are clicking. As I continue to progress I’m surprised by how intuitive it feels. Enjoyable too: I play for fun, not as a chore. Big points for that. Definitely recommend it! Show more

It’s a good app.

The basic version is very basic, but very helpful.

This app is exactly what I was looking for. I want to learn to play my bass guitar by ear. This app lets me practice finding the right note on my bass without worrying about what it’s called. It has the option to name the notes by letters, numbers, or the do-re- me system. There is a steady level build up from half a scale, to the other half, to a full octave, to multiple octaves, to different scales, etc. I like it very much and have noticed an improvement in just a week of using it. The only thing that could make this app better is if It could recognize the note I play instead of tapping the screen. Right now I listen to the note, then play it on my bass, then tap the corresponding number on the app. Nevertheless, I’m just being picky. Overall this is an excellent app. I highly recommend. I’ve only been using this app for a couple days but I already love it. For one, I’m constantly searching for ways to improve my musicality away from the piano. Some days, I’m just too tired to practice (or practice well). This is a great way to develop your ear. I’m curious to know if more advanced levels become unlocked as you complete the material (right now it’s only showing me basic levels). If not, I’ll make use of the custom level tool to create additional challenges once I’ve finished the included ones. I also have not yet come across descending intervals, so I can’t tell if those are available (which would be extremely helpful). I would definitely recommend this app to any musician working to improve their ear-training. Developers, keep up the excellent work! Show more

Only been using this for a week but it’s helped immensely. You actually learnt the personalities of each note.
