I got a pathfinder 280 and it’s one of the best speaker like honestly, the speaker got a lot of bass and sound great, the only thing about this app that I do not like is the light option, won’t let me change colors, maybe the speaker is just made like that but if not than I hope it gets fixed soon but other than that the speaker is just great, happy I bought it, it was worth it! Works GOOD

I wanted to enjoy my Ion Prime PA but since the day I got it out of the box it’s been a a struggle. Bluetooth disconnects, app will not sync. I’ll have the volume up to the top on my phone and with the ION…still not much sound. I try to use the Aux, doesn’t recognize. I bought this in August and want to return it as I’ve been so frustrated. The app should work better and is clearly a mess Show more

I’m not sure what all the negative reviews are about but I have the 280 and this app works fine with it. Only asked permission to access my Bluetooth, never asked about my location like one review mentioned. Show more

No issues, 1st try with the app. Not a lot of features with the app but allows more control of the device. Nice interface for the FM radio controls and favorite stations. Show more

I am using a Brightmax and the color switch mode is broken! It won’t allow me to change the colors! The EQ settings also seem to vanish the moment I leave the menu. Without these 2 functions the rest of the device can be controlled with the buttons! So what is the point of this app if it is unable to do that which the physical buttons cannot do?! Downloaded the app tested it and it wanted to know my location to proceed. The app was deleted instantly and the speaker was returned the next day. This is a sound app and it does not need to know your location. You are forced to allow location otherwise the app will not proceed to your speaker settings. Since it was forcing location info, I deleted the app in 5 minutes and returned the speaker next day. I will never buy a ION product ever again. Thank you ION for such a horrible experience. I wonder what other info it tries to capture in the background. Stick with Bose or JBL speakers. Show more

It’s absolutely ridiculous and completely unnecessary that an app to connect to my speaker over BLUETOOTH requires my location to enable basic app functionality. If this had been the case when I initially bought the speaker, I would have returned it to the store. Ion needs to reverse this change. Show more

Not sure why you want location to play music, maybe you plan to crash the party? I can play music through Bluetooth, but not through the app. The app finds the pathfinder 280, then tells me the speaker isn’t configured to play through Bluetooth. Deleting app and returning speaker. Show more

If I could return my speaker and buy something else I would! The app does nothing! Why are there even favorites? They don’t work. I called support and waited for 25 min for them to say they would call me back. Here I am 1 year later with no call back! This company is horrible!! Show more

With Total PA Prime… acoustic correction won’t work and settings don’t stick. Source volume and master volume don’t remain when navigating away. Any change in eq presets drop the volume for some reason. Let’s get a developer who can fix these problems this year? Show more

The app will only connect you to the speaker once out of every 5 times, and if you are playing anything on it already, it won’t connect at all. I’ve seen so many bad reviews and ION has not lifted a finger to fix this app or respond to its customers. This is the worst app and customer service I have ever seen. Show more

Speaker performance is great but as soon the app is used which is somewhat productive the overall performance diminishes tremendously. It’s a great speaker for outdoor party modes but don’t expect any level of finesse for a audiophiles or movie sound effects. Show more

this app is just terrible it crashes a lot and won’t let me use the bass booster on the app it only lets me use the light changer and the level of sound that’s about it. Show more

Bright max speaker a joke from COSTCo. Does not work. Sounds likes a mono toy speaker from 1950. This EQ app did not fix.

This is literally the worst app ever. I love my Pathfinder 4, but this app that’s meant to remotely control it, doesn’t. It scans to find the device and then says “Make sure speaker is on.” There are clickable icons that aren’t labeled, it’s not intuitive….who tested this for useability? Apparently, no one. Have fun adjusting music volume from your phone, or manually on the speaker. Show more

I downloaded the app, despite the bad reviews, and it literally won’t let you use the app unless you turn on location tracking! Why does a Bluetooth speaker app need to track my location? Nah. I noped out, and deleted the app immediately. Super sketchy. Show more

7 months from my first review and several uninstalls and reinstalls and it’s the most worthless app on my iPhone. What’s really funny is that when you reinstall the app it will find the pathfinder and then 3 seconds later when you try to connect it says make sure the device is turned on. It’s easier to walk across the shop and turn it up than to think the app will ever work. Show more
