Wow!! My teacher Jakob Haq made an amazing Synth with one of the Best app developers!!
I wouldn’t know much about the “IPad world” with out Jakob Haq and his amazing videos!! Funny! Informative and all around good to watch and learn from! During the shutdown I grabbed Kai Aras SF-1 filter and really fell in love with it. Soon after my hunt for the “delay” and watching Jakob Haq’s video I bought the FD-1. So with out hesitation to support these amazing people BUY THIS synth!! You will be nothing but impressed! I can wait to see what is next! ..... by the way this is my ONLY review on the App Store.. Apple Pay these guys!! Show more

    Low down dirty fun.
A fine collaboration of two immensely creative minds. Easy UI easy on the eyes. Wicked noises quickly manipulated to musical ideas. Well done.

An exciting collab. Best interface designer + best iOS producer influencer? Killer combo.
I only mention Kai’s UI skills on the title, but that is because they are OFF the charts. The rest of his toolkit is almost if not equally glorious, plus we have to emphasize he was one of the first and few to give life to the MPE community on iOS, something much appreciated because a year ago NO ONE was offering MPE other than Kai and maybe ROLI with their terrible noise app (with great sounds). There are a few things I wish I could request from Kai to add to a few of this plugins, particularly I wish KB-1 (and by extension all of his synths) offered support for accelerometer/gyroscopic velocity sensitivity just like apps such as iFretless by BlueMangoo do. I’d also love more control over the amount of keys present, such as being able to define exactly how many keys I’d like to present on screen, as opposed to selecting octaves. This would be a great addition for phone users, on iPad it is less relevant so I understand it is a niche utility that might not be worth adding given the cost it could take to implement. That being said, Kai really has outdone himself over and over, his apps are really amongst the most glorious music tools available on iOS and i CANOT wait for MORE of them. Hopefully, this won’t be the last one which will include Haq, as he certainly holds a special part in all of our hearts (music community for iOS), and I am sure that he can probably bring MANY brilliant ideas to the table. Not that Kai ISN’T *PROBABLY* a fantastic musician himself... After all, have you seen what his studio looks like? The guy has more synths than walls really. Cheers Kai, hopefully accelerometer velocity can make it’s way into your KB suite... <3 velocity KB by BlueMangoo exemplifies how amazing this tech can be, and given that it took me around a day to create something infinitely inferior yet somewhat workable by writing a script on Mozaic, I hope this one won’t be a request that requires much refactoring. At least KB-1 would definitely benefit from it, as it usually is the case for me that I end up wondering whether I should use IT or velocity KB simply because it lacks that accelerometer layer which is PARTICULARLY useful on iPads which lack 3D Touch (and I guess modern iPhone “PROs” lol). Thank You Guys For The Work
I’m in a hurry at the moment but a quick review: This is the grit, grime, killing, destroyer synth I’ve personally been missing and by a couple of my favorite dudes!! I opened Agonizer up from inside AUM, Sending it data from Atom sequencer, while DrumComputer was on the kit and presto.....instant dirty gratification. For this I’m grateful. Great developer with Jakob, old school in this iOS games vision and synth sensibility’s and this is what we have. A fresh new synth that is super easy to dial up big, interesting sounds right out the gate. Highly recommended and big ups to you two for smashing it in a great way in a sea of generic synths and machines. Good work here. Show more

    Well Done!
A completely different synth with great sound, presets and infinite possibilities! I have about 50 different synth and effects apps and this one is unique and well worth the money! A different approach, but the again I’m a sucker for great sound.... Show more

    Awesome job Kai and Jakob!
The app is great! I really love the UI and it’s ease of use. I wouldn’t have gotten into music production at all of it wasn’t for Jakob Haq. I felt I wasn’t able to since I didn’t have space for a home studio or a laptop but I found Jakob’s channel 3 years ago and began to learn how to produce quality music on iOS. I’m happy to support him he continues to inspire me. Show more

The mono synth I didn’t know that I needed!
As a musician of over 45 years I didn’t think there would be another mono synth that I would need ever again. Boy was I wrong. This is a songwriters dream. I haven’t been this excited since the original iOS Alchemy synth (not the one currently in Garage band). Fun and easy to get great sounds and patterns from. Applause to Jakob and Kai! Show more

    Brilliant
What happens when a creative musician collaborates with a very capable hacker - you get a brilliant instrument. I hope we get more from Kaihaq...
