The ability to edit metadata is awesome and the interface is great, but something is terribly wrong when it comes to importing new music. The first time I did it, it was flawless. Now, when I try to import more offline music, nothing seems to work unless I delete everything and use the “offline music synchronization” feature all over again like a first time user. Can’t there just be an “add” function for offline music? You’d think that adding files to the app’s import folder would do the trick, but that doesn’t seem to work either. What’s worse is you can’t delete anything easily. When I delete media, I get an X with a spinning circle around it that never disappears, and never deletes anything. Deleting should be a very basic function and it should be instant. Developer, please fix these issues and you’ll have a perfect app. Show more

Tried this app with several of my Apple Lossless (ALAC) albums and the quality was awful. Strange crackling and popping sounds especially during louder portions of songs.

As a Linux user this is really the only way to use my music collection with my iPhone. I set up SMB and pull songs down and build the playlists in Flacbox. Been doing that for years but it was recently broke. In a world of monthly fees just to listen to music with a ton of overly feature packed garbage players, also asking for monthly fees and your email address, so you can listen offline without draining your cell plans usage or simply grabbing music from the Apple player that works the same way this was awesome. The only issue? Lately when I add songs via SMB, even after waiting for them to download, some are missing and no amount of attempts to get them downloaded works. Fix that and I’ll give it five stars. The http process works fine but it’s tedious. I really hope this player sticks around or I’ll have write my own and use TestFlight, because I hate customers and don’t want to pay dev fees and own other Apple garbage products to produce one piece of software. If you want an application that will be able to play back multiple disc albums in the order that the artist intended, don’t buy this app. It is very frustrating the steps that you need to go to make the songs on disc one play in order and then disc two, etc. what it does is it sort the songs either by title or by track number, not recognizing the disk number which I have in all my meta-data of my 300,000 songs. However, even with the latest version, the all will just kick out when I’m casting to my Chromecast Audio. Using Bluetooth to my headphones it doesn’t happen. I hope they can improve the app’s persistence when casting to CCA. Show more

Worked for a couple days now all my tracks are distorted. Wasted a lot of time with this.

Accessing to the files and folder is considered but it needs lots of improvement

Only media player and device I have that fails sync. Small library, 4800 files, 974 folders, 260 artists., 50GB. All mp3, m4a, and flac. I tried SMB, DLNA, WebDAV, icloud, direct transfer in Finder with lightning cable, and putting the entire library on iphone local storage through Files file manager. I have no problems with other devices and this library and source, including media players running on android, linux, home assistant, sonos, synology, windows, BSD, and macos. I can stream and sync or download and index this library in a few hours or less with those and others. Flacbox however is extremely slow and never completes. Spent days trying. Reinstalled a couple times. Sync hangs and spins, and does nothing after anywhere from 2 files minimum upwards to about 1000 which took many hours. One of my genius friend turned me on to this app to share his meditative music!! He has four decades of work and now as his audience the nuisance listen and feedback I can offer has really been a blessing for us both. really clear audio and great features. and i think you guys should add reverberation.

Often crashed, I have to reinstall it totally. Why this application always turns to next song so early and I found nowhere to change the setting.

App has a hard time reading metadata, as well as streaming .m4a and .mp3 files from my Google Drive Account! Please fix ASAP

This is the only app i have that has Airplay issues (TV connecting). Apple applications, Rokfin, ++ work fine

Say adios to Apple Music and the hassle of refreshing your whole library to add one freaking song or album!! Flacbox plays more than just .flac files and it doesn’t harass you with ads, just one ad when you open the app.? Much love Flacbox!?? Show more

Connected to my OneDrive music folder for streaming my personal library. However the synchronization only found 681 songs of the thousands I have:(

Plays big files around 100mb a bit better than previous versions but still cracking when starting to play.

I’ve used a lot of music players across many phones and this one ranks up pretty high in my faves. Has everything I need and the updates are really nice recently, love them. Been a paid supporter for the app for years now. Show more
