I don’t understand why Sonos doesn’t make its own widget, but this works beautifully and is well worth the price. I had an authorization issue when I first downloaded the app, and the developer got in touch with me immediately and walked me through it. Super responsive and helpful. Show more

i’m sure the app works fine. but i had previously purchased this for now what’s called the “legacy widget” and now it’s been separated into a different app that would have to be repurchased. 3 stars is for that. not so much for the app itself Show more

I used the previous version and it was pretty simple and felt fast. I think the additional graphics, animated transitions and some other Interface choices all make it feel slower than what I think is the point of the app. Show more

I bought this as a way to quickly group and ungroup rooms without opening a full screen app. I got a new phone and the UI is now different and less intuitive/convenient for me. After digging into the app it seems the developer created a new paid app that does what I previously paid for. This is unfair, if the functionality is being phased out make a new app, but don’t swap apps and make me pay twice! ? Show more

The most useful feature of the widget is gone overnight, volume control. This was the only reason I downloaded this, I could swipe over to my widgets and immediately adjust room volume. Now, it’s just launching a favorite. Please bring back the old version. Show more

Bought the app to quickly group speakers when using AirPlay. When you open the tile, and get to the speaker list, clicking on a speaker just makes it flash for a second but doesn’t add it. Otherwise, found no other useful features. Doesn’t even display what is currently playing. Show more

What happened to the grouping from the widget? I see it suddenly went away, also from the app’s description and screenshots. This is the only reason I recently purchased the app. Please refund me if this is not in error. Updated from 1 to 4 after legacy widget reappeared. Show more

It has to reside below all the other modern widgets. Any update soon?! Also, crashes on latest iOS

I bought this for one feature: control of already playing music from home and lock screen. The new 2.0 release replaced the useful old style widget with a new style widget that only launches favorites, AND did not update the help or announce this so I spent a bunch of time scratching my head and playing with settings trying to figure out why the documented thing that used to work does not work. Bring back the old widget please. Update: old widget is still there after device reboot. This is the case documented in the help, but the help didn’t make it clear to me that “unable to load” meant the widget is entirely and silently missing from the list of widgets to add, as opposed to the widget is added but doesn’t show up on the today screen or shows up with an error. Even after reading the help carefully I had no idea this was describing the state I was in. The iOS widget configuration isn’t really the dev’s fault but it’s still a really clunky experience. Prompt feedback from the developer and after following his instructions my original widget is back! Excellent support and still love the functionality!

This widget is disappointing since widgets work differently between iOS 13 and 14. iPadOS 14 introduced a new type of widget. This widget, since it is for iOS 13, cannot be displayed before iPadOS 14 widgets. Please upgrade it for iPadOS 14. Show more

Seems like a good app and definitely should fill a need for sonos but I could never get iOS14 to recognize app in today widgets. I understood that it would not be on the Home Screen but I understood from the description that it could be added to the swipe right today widgets. This may be possible but I couldn’t seem to get it to work even with restarting the phone several times. Okay finally figured it out. In iOS 14 after hitting the edit button on the bottom of the widgets you must again scroll all the way down to the book of the widgets and hit the customize button. Even with it working as intended, it’s not user friendly. I never use it. The SONOS app is more convenient.

Having to navigate in the clunky sonos app is a hassle, and my lock screen controls are constantly disappearing or not working correctly. Being able to quickly swipe left and have access to the controls I need 95% of the time is super convenient. I’ve emailed the developer a few times and receive quick and constructive responses. They are pushing updates with great functionality, such as the addition of grouping speakers/rooms, an intuitive way to independently change volume levels for grouped rooms, shortcuts with long presses etc. Show more

As someone who has “legacy” Sonos speakers and doesn’t want to spend a more $$$ to replace perfectly good speakers so that I can “upgrade” to the Sonos 2 app, this widget is a great alternative. I really like being able to control the music without having to open my phone every time and then open the Sonos app. Definitely worth the money. Show more

I had an issue with it not working properly and now it’s working again. Review updated. Now it’s stuck on music that the Sonos system played awhile ago. Rebooting and reinstalling and reauthorizing hasn’t helped. Useless. Paul, thanks for reaching out. For some reason it is now working as it used to. Show more

The official Sonos app inexplicably is missing widgets so this app adds this important functionality. Works great for grouping ,etc. I only wish it was slider control (vs tapping) but that is likely due to space in the widget itself. I wish it came with a Watch app also! Show more
