    Needs MusicXML Support
Impossible to move scores from anywhere else to here, or from here to anywhere else. A jail for your work. Not going to continue evaluating until I can ensure work portability. Subscription is too expensive for what’s on offer. UI is sparse to a fault. “3 Dot Menu” isn’t the obvious place for EVERYTHING. Just finding basic file management functions kind of threw me at first. There is just no intuitiveness inherent in this design. It hides literally everything from you. It’s like an Easter Egg Hunt. The default sounds are absolutely terrible - but you can’t e.g. write in Sibelius and then move to a DAW because there are no viable interchange options. I’m not about to buy Pro Tools just for this basic convenience. Not when Notion and Dorico exists on this form factor. Command Search is not useful for discovery because too many things have different names across different notation platforms. Show more

Why is there no on screen keyboard?
Having an on-screen keyboard for note input is such an obvious feature that is just not there. Even only allowing it appear in landscape mode would be fine. I just cannot comprehend how the development team could put so much work into this and not add on this feature that would be a tiny fraction of all the code required of the app yet would speed notation up significantly. Lacking
I’ve used Sibelius for a while. This is lacking… guitar tab is inconsistent and slow to enter, guitar chord diagrams are small and not intuitive to create, support material for all this app reports to do is missing. Most of the 60 pages of help are explaining how to operate an iPad. Seriously this needs support from Avid. Show more

    Excellent first release!
Very exciting first version, with a lot of features - can’t wait for future improvements. I’ve been a very happy Sibelius customer ever since ver. 4 (currently 2019.12 Sibelius Ultimate on desktop), and glad to have it now on iPad! Show more

    Sounds randomly stop working
When writing, certain instruments have no sound (example: bassoon does not make sound in woodwind quintet templet). Also after writing for a few different parts only one instrument will work. * I am aware that it will only play selected instrument and this is not the issue. Show more

Unable To a link to My perpetual license
This is very frustrating, paid for a perpetual license yesterday and the iPad login does not work.

    Intuitive for longtime Sibelius user!
I have been using Sibelius on my desktop for over 20 years and the iPad version works surprisingly well! My most commonly used keyboard shortcuts, such as octave up/down (command+up/down), line (L), tempo (T), key signature (k), play (P), undo, etc., they all work and keep up with my workflow. Having the rhythm input pad on the screen instead of the numerical keypad is actually more intuitive since it’s a direct input, rather than converting the numerical keypad in your head. Not being compatible with a MIDI device isn’t that crucial for me because I’ve become accustomed to inputting notes with my keyboard. And if I were bringing all the gear to hook it up to a MIDI device, I would rather be connecting it directly to my laptop anyway. This version of Sibelius is really for the iPad user who wants to created/edit on the go, with a slightly lighter version of the software, and is ok with compromised sound library. For example, I was able to download a string orchestra score that I had been working on my desktop and opened it up on the iPad version to create some quick edits. I have no doubt that I will be using the iPad version of Sibelius along with its powerhouse desktop version to create a seamless workflow. Show more

    NEEDS MIDI DEVICE SUPPORT
As a semi-active choral composer who had been without Sibelius for a year (having ditched my laptop and gone to iPad exclusively), I was thrilled when Sibelius released for iPad. Its ease of use and professional aesthetic is top notch. But there is one crucial, fundamental problem with Sibelius Mobile in its current form: NO MIDI DEVICE SUPPORT. I can’t express enough how much of an issue this is. I ALWAYS used my external MIDI keyboard to input notes into my Sibelius files because it is vastly quicker and more accurate. Other B tier mobile programs like Symphony Pro have MIDI keyboard, and it’s just a disgrace that Avid would release Sibelius Mobile without MIDI support. Avid, PLEASE GET ON THIS AND RELEASE AN UPDATE ASAP. The Sibelius Mobile product could easily be a five star product like the desktop version, but without MIDI support, it’s getting a measly two starts from me. It truly is that important. Show more

Have Sibelius ultimate on desktop, but iPad saying I have Sibelius first
Really excited to start using this, but confused on why my iPad says I have Sibelius first, when I have and pay for ultimate on my desktop…… I have tried multiple times to connect with the customer care. They just auto close the ticket and will not help. Used Sibelius since version 3. Having had Ultimate for awhile now. Why do we pay for a product with a monthly fee and get no support? Show more

    No playback output
Hi, I can’t get anything to playback. Volume is up, silent mode is off, running the latest OS and my iPad is compatible. I saw the article about silent mode. That didn’t supply any solution. Any suggestions? Otherwise it’s great to have a Sibelius product for iPad. Four stars until I get some sound. Show more
