Easy to use, sounds pretty good
Really easy to use, sounds pretty good as well. Great for practicing and casual recording

    Static problems
This app has incredible tones but whenever I play a horrible clicky static type sound starts as well. I’ve tried adjusting the input and output volumes in the app and on my interface. Raising the latency helped a little but it’s still very noticeable. Hopefully the devs see this and can help me find a fix! Other than that I love the tones Show more

    Works great but!
The tones are awesome even the factory presets are really well done but some of them crackle and pop also can’t seem to get it to work with GarageBand is this something that will be available sometime? Show more

    Great Tone, But...
First let me start by saying this is an excellent app and I recommend it very much for high gain and clean tones. It’s possible to do low and mid gain sounds but you have to really work at it. Dropping the gain tends to sound a little ‘digital’ and you lose some sensitivity. They have all other amp sims beat on noise gates though. No need to put up with a little hiss or buzz. The amp models aren’t perfect but I don’t think they’re supposed to be. You get the basic characteristics of those amps and then you mix and match power amps, preamps, speaker and mic combinations, and effects. An almost infinite tone lab. I’m getting great sounds from it. It only works through inter-app audio (IAA) although I’ve seen the dev say it does support AUv3 in other reviews. When I pull up all the AUv3 compatible apps in AUM it does not appear in any list as a input app or an insert or effect app. It only appears as an IAA insert/effect app. This means you may only run a single instance of the app at a time. As you can imagine this places a limit on your "infinite tone lab". I checked this right before typing this so it is not in the AUv3 list. I don’t have GarageBand on my iPad Pro so I couldn’t check to see if it comes up on its list, but why would it show up as an audio unit there but not in AUM? I have to assume it doesn’t show up in GarageBand either. There’s no Ableton Link so it can’t receive tempo info from another app. I’d really like to see this in a future update. That way if the bpm changes it will automatically update all my effects that are set to BPM. I’d like to see BPM capabilities added to tremolo, rotary, chorus and any effect that can use that info as well. The app has some bugs that need to be worked out. I have the app freeze up and make a loud buzzing sound at least once almost every time I use the app. Occasionally the effects become confused as to what kind of sound they should make. I’ve had the detune effect become an analog delay a few times. I see the detune effect graphic but I’m hearing delay and I see the delay graphic but the delay is turned off. This also happened with the 70s chorus. One time my delay pedal actually had the detune pedal graphic. When I reset the delay the graphic returned to normal but turning off the delay had no effect. I could still hear the delay. I reset the detune and my delay went back to normal. Maybe an issue with modulation models? Another reviewer said this isn’t supporting Audiobus so you can’t record with it. I don’t have Audiobus but it works fine in AUM as IAA only. So you can connect it to any DAW you prefer and record. Final word; it’s a problem child but I like it’s versatility and it sounds good. Even the effects. Some sims have barely passable effects. The modern rotary by itself would have been a good app. The delays need a little work. And I’d like to be able to pan effects to the left or right. Then I could run a chorus on one side and flanger on the other. Or quarter note delay on one side with dotted eighths repeating on the other. Infinite tone lab, ya know? Show more

    Constant crackle
I have a TC Helicon Go Guitar Pro USB/lightening audio interface and iPhone 8+ and I get constant crackle no matter the latency setting. Only iOS audio app that doesn’t work fine with this audio interface. I will revise my review if this is fixed, but until then the app is useless to me. Show more

    No AUv3 support?
I see another review where someone asked about AUv3 support and the developer responded with: “Hi there, it supports AU3, please check it” Ok, I’ve checked it. So where is this AU support again? As far as I can see, it DOES NOT! Show more

    Love it.
Can you guys add an effects loop so people that are running at least a two in/ four out interface could integrate outboard hardware. Also if there could be assignable outs to send to amp and cab/ mains. That would make the best sounding app even better. Show more

    AudioBus support would be nice!
First, Thank you for making this app free, it’s great. This can be my new go to app, but no AudioBus support limits me to only playing and not recording. AmpKit is my go to app to record on iOS. I also have AmpliTube, but prefer AmpKit tones, effects and usability. This app has a great clean sound that would make any recording sound good. And with all the amps, cabs and effects, it can surpass all the other apps in this category. Please consider adding AudioBus support. Show more

    Fantastic!
Gives the Helix a run for it’s money! I bought an HX Stomp a few weeks ago (trying to downsize after selling my Helix Floor). Tonight, I’m surfing Facebook and see the ad for GE Labs. I was intrigued by the video demo so I decided to download the app. Coming from years of using Positive Grid apps, I was not expecting this app to be much better. I’m absolutely blown away and stand corrected. I dialed up a “Dr Z” amp with some comp, mild drive, and some verb. I’m left a little disappointed that I bought the HX Stomp before getting to try GE Labs. I’m reconsidering my rig that I’m actually in the process of building! This runs smooth as butter on my iPad Pro with about 10-15% cpu usage. Show more

Sounds great....and a welcome addition to the iOS guitar arsenal!

    Wouldn’t know ?‍♂️
App looks great, but won’t run on my iPad at all. Even on the highest latency setting and nowhere near maxing out the cpu it’s still glitching and making digital sounds like my iPad is screaming in pain. I would love to see them clean this up and make it actually work. Show more
