Best app ever! For all levels

Using this app is more like learning to type than learning to play music. But it does have a tuner!

This app has helped me with my finger placement, rhythm and speed. Also I enjoy my time playing the music. I have improved using this app.

I love this app, it’s fun and keeps me motivated to keep playing. There is a lot of songs to learn to play plus a lot of good instruction for licks, riffs etc. The developers are Super fast and efficient if any problems may arise. I had a couple of issues and they got back to me within hours or the next day. I highly recommend this app! Show more

Big name, big fail.

I’ve been using the app as a learning device regularly for a couple of months and definitely feeling some improvement of my skills coming along. I ran into a problem with the app auto rotating in a way that badly impacted my ability to use it and reported the problem to support. Within a couple of days, a fix was pushed up to the App Store and I was directly notified of the availability of the fix. Upgraded and the problem was gone. I have been playing and studying guitar for many years and have tried every app and membership out there. The Gibson app is one I am going to keep. The augmented reality is great . It keeps you in time and trains your ear to hear what the tone of the guitar should sound like. So when you plug into your amp you can dial in that tone. The app keeps you motivated to practice. They update the app often and add new material. I had a minor issue and support was awesome and handled the issue quickly. Keep the the good work guys! Show more

A few days ago the app started rotating. You open the app, the image rotates 180, things are upside down and unusable. Sometimes you can “force” the orientation but it will flip upside down again. It does not matter if rotation is locked or not. I have tried this on several iOS devices with the same results. This is one of my favorite guitar apps. Please fix it. Show more

Since the lasted updates my screen flips all the time on the iPad and it drives me crazy. Please fix. Thank you

You download the app and it makes you purchase a years worth before it allows you to try the free 14 day trail. Basically you have to be sure to cancel or you get charged. How about after 14 days if I like the app I will then decide to continue. Better yet just do a monthly so I can try it out without spending so much like Fender does, which is where I’m going now. Guess I’ll be taking Fender lessons on my new Epiphone inspired by Gibson guitar. You need to make it easy to stay within the brand. Show more

I am trying to learn the guitar to play at church and I thought this app looked really good to use. The reviews were great. I downloaded the app and signed on using Facebook. The app would never load. It has the musicians holding their guitars talking but it never got past that part. I got tired of waiting for it to load after 15 minutes and deleted the app. Show more

Why is tuning the worst thing to do it thinks g is d and I honestly wish they taught you the cords because it is hard to learn them from no one. Please make a update! Show more

Feels like a premium apps and has tons of features. Teaches how to play the original song step by step. Also easier versions for some songs. Definitely check this app out!! Show more

Very well presented program and interface

I really love this app, every other lesson or training app falls way WAY short of this app achieves in keeping you engaged and making learning easy. Most all of the lessons I’ve done thus far are way below my skill level but I’ve had fun 100%ing the songs and licks so far and I’m really looking forward to being challenged more. The only thing I really do not like has how the app celebrates my accomplishments by promptly crashing at the end of each session. Other than that, this is well worth the annual subscription!
