I’ve bought most of the high end iOS synth apps since 2010. Synthmaster 2 is the most flexible and capable synth of them all. It sounds great, and the ability to quickly modulate most parameters from a large number of sources makes it as capable as modular racks. It is a GREAT DESIGN. Thanks to everyone on your team. I do have one request… Please make Synthmaster 2 downloadable in the MacOS app store. I like to start a project in iOS and finish it on the Mac. I can’t use Synthmaster 2 on those projects, until the app is available in the MacOS App Store. Show more

11NOV22 UPDATE: During the last app update, I suffered a loss of my prior IAP purchases… I contacted support, and a reply came quickly. I tried the suggestions made to no avail. I sent another email, and was answered just as quickly with a solution. I not only feel that the app is TOP NOTCH, but so is the customer service! It is sad that you cannot rate them any higher than 5 stars! ★︎ ★︎ ★︎ ★︎ ★︎ ∞︎ ! I’ve experienced no problems in SynthMaster Player, SynthMaster One, or SynthMaster Two! I did at first; but the fault was mine, not the app! I’ve enjoyed them all, the soundpacks that I’ve purchased, and found many of the new sounds in all of them (especially the new ones in SynthMaster Two) quite inspiring! Great stuff! This is a great synth with great preset sounds. But if considering the Bundled IAP sound pack, first listen up to the individual SoundCloud files. A lot are duplicating each other, and many are sounds you would otherwise pass on. I was tempted to buy bundle, which conveniently covers everything at a price, but then after listening bought only 3. Show more

SM player, SM1 and SM2 No Longer are Recognized by Updated AUM…. Strangely, ApeMatrix….which I ,up until now, never use….recognizes ALL 3…. I use AUM….so ALL SynthMasters are….OUT !

iPad 2019 Once SynthMaster is loaded into an audiounit, IAP presets do not load correctly.

Great Synth, great sounds but, it no longer runs in AUM! I have a iPad Pro 5th generation and I’m running 15.5 os software. And it will not load in AUM. It will work only as a standalone synth. I sent tech support a crash report that they ask for and I have not heard from them since. IF YOU CANT FIX IT THEN I NEED A REFUND. UPDATE,UPDATE,UPDATE,UPDATE, UPDATE The tech team fixed the loading problem in AUM and it’s working perfect. I’m changing my rating from 1 to 5 stars! Thank You! Show more

Nice, clean sounds make this app one of the best out there, combined with a plethora of features that make it a joy to use.

In many tutorials of the app there are ‘gear’ icons which display additional settings. They were just to the right of the magnifying glass in the ADSR/LFO/MSEG module, also they were in the filter module and the Osc module.. these settings were VERY powerful as they allowed you to make presets of the various modules. Also, they had an awesome copy paste mechanism that allowed you to assign the LFO (or ADSR, MSEG, SEQ) to multiple targets in just one click! Without these settings, this incredible synth lost some of its power. Please bring the settings back! Show more

Epic app! Only seen one issue so far… after I’ve made changes to a sound or preset knobs and other things or no longer visible until I turn my iPad off and back on…. This app deserves 5 stars or more just based on how amazing it sounds how deep it goes and the outstanding flexibility but this issue is kinda bad sorry Show more

For what you get this synth is huge. Besides several engines to synthesize with the samples are also very impressive. It may be daunting at first but the UI us logical and, considering how much synth is behind any given timber the work flow makes sense and is very powerful. If in your budget this is a no brainer. Just look at the size of this app , almost a gig. Amazing sounds. Incredible sequences and arpeggios. I’m hard to impress, but this is the best synth app ever on iOS . Show more

FWIW this is one of the most complete AUv3 (I believe) synths out today. I like the parity bt desktop and iOS but I do not like how I cannot manipulate all macros while also using the virtual keyboard. It seems obvious to allow for that in the GUI somehow but perhaps there’s some sort of limitation related to multi-touch (chords + turning knobs and XY pad movement = ???). Would be nice of them to include key signature lock (always in key) mode to the keyboard as well. Perhaps I’m missing where that feature is. Show more

App is ok but you can’t adjust the tempo/bpm in free stand mode. I’ll raise my stars if they change that.

I own the desktop version and love it but, for some reason, no matter what I do, the presets won’t download. It just says, “Restoring”, but never resolves. Version history says this is fixed about 4 weeks ago but today, 10/24, on my iPad Pro 2020, it does not work. Once this is fixed 5* :) Show more

But I don’t understand the red #1 notification. When I open the app there’s nowhere to access it’ll see what it is.

This is 1 of the very best synths for IOS. It has every thing you can think of for an IOS synth. It does has some bugs. But I’ve been told by the people that put this app out, those bugs will be fixed in a major update soon to come out. Is it worth the money? Yes indeed. Are the preset extensions worth the money? Again yes indeed. I bought all 32 of them, while their still on sale. This is a must have. It’s at the top of the list for all the IOS synths that I have. Show more

So much potential here, seems like a great app, but this is clearly a poorly-tested port. Example functionality that is broken: - rename synth - paste settings - import wav - selecting entries on sub menus with Apple Pencil - app crashes every 15 minute on average - sound cuts out/cracks every 1 minute (the developer claims this is due to the M1 iPad but I have 0 problems in other apps like BeatMaker 3 or garageband) These are things that I noticed within the first hour of using the app. Here’s to hoping that things improve—we don’t need new features, just existing ones to work properly. Would be 5 stars if this app was less buggy. Show more

Frankly I just began exploring it, and I’m quite new to this whole sound design thing, but I was on the lookout for a while now for something that could compete with the likes of Massive or Serum, and maybe we’re not there yet, but if You ask me, this monster here comes pretty darn close!!!?
