    Fabulous Piano Sample
Buy this app immediately! A bargain at $49.99. The sound and "feel" of the pianos are unrivaled, whether on iOS or OS. I am still recovering from shock and being tired b/c of staying up all night playing these samples. This is the "holy grail" of piano samples. I am a retired professional who has been purchasing musical software and hardware since the early 1980s. For folks under the age of 40, a little history may be interesting. My current music studio uses a Mac Pro, Logic Pro, and two racks of professional sound equipment. My go to piano sample is Synthogy Ivory Fazioli although I have spent a King's ransom over these past decades looking for the holy grail of computer samples. The Colossus Piano at $49.99 played through an iPad 4 and a Focurite iDock rivals the sound of my entire studio equipped with MOTU 1248s (4 in number) costing a sum of $6000 alone does not sound radically different that this app running on an older IPad and dock (a $200 system). Technology marches on. The Colossus Piano and Synthogy Ivory share 24 sample sper note. The Synthogy Ivory samples require a current computer with goobs of solid state storage and ram. I like this sample so much that I don't turn on my studio and now I just play the Colossus Piano through the iPad. Wow. To be fair, I am also using a professional headphone amp and professional headphones to monitor computer and iPad outputs. This app is the best app I have ever purchased and I can't thank christian Schoenebeck enough for the joy you have given me. Fellow musicians, buy this app with confidence and you will be in for a shock and treat. A note to the prior reviewer. This app is a professional quality app and not a trivial $5 app. The $49.99 to "authorize and download" the samples is shockingly inexpensive. For the old, young, experienced and newer musicians, this is one serious piano sample. The synth/piano pad is also wonderful. Naturally, the Synthogy Ivory OS samples provide greater control on numerious piano samples and probably sound better on a side to side comparison, but the Colossus hangs right in there with the current state of the art OS samples. If you are not a geezer like me, buy an iPad pro, an iPad dock (I have the Focusrite and Alesis i/o Dock ii) a great pair of headphones and skip the $10,000 of spending required in the past to get achieve sample sonic quality and expression of this quality. This app is worth much more than its price. I just can't say enough positive comments. Let's support Christian. This app is far superior in my opinion to the iGrand Piano app and the Ivory in app purchase of the Roland Module. I thought the iGrand was good until the Colossus Piano arrived. The Ivory in app purchase of the Roland Module was a little disappointing. I am not affiliated with Christian nor have I ever met him. This is the first review I have ever written - that's how happy I am with this purchase. Buy and enjoy. Cheers. Show more

    Just don't get it
The app is free, but useless until you buy an IAP which cost money and quite a bit ( does not show until downloaded) 29-49 USD Strange that other similar apps at least give some basic function, but this time s just window dressing They do have some good apps but somebody was not thinking when they hey market the s one Show more
