So, that cheap price you paid for which ever version of the WiiM… doesn’t reflect in the app. This app is full featured. Quirky at times, but not so buggy you hate it. And if you find something, give them a few weeks. It just might get fixed. And if your favorite streamer service is not baked into the WiiM app, if it’s public, request it. It might just make it in. No other streamer service offers so many options including DLNA/uPNP! And to boot Amazon Music support! Yes, lossless Amazon Music streaming at Hi-Res sampling up to 192/24! Something you cannot get with Apple Music/iTunes, even with an Apple TV and Dolby Atmos! Hi-Tes was previously exclusive to services like Tidal and Qobuz. No more! WiiM is constantly making updates, improvements and upgrades to their app. The interface doesn’t take long to figure out before you’re searching all your favorite services and finding new stuff and re-discovering old favorites to listen to. If someone says they don’t like this app because of the way it sounds, it’s the equipment used for playback, not the app. Show more

I’m giving only three stars because WiiM has very limited ability to organize my favorites, which now include hundreds of artists and thousands of albums. Qobuz native app allows alphabetical order and dating, and selection by genres, but WiiM app does not allow these Qobuz features to work. My PS Audio Stellar Strata integrated amplifier/DAC/streamer must use the WiiM app to properly stream music services in hi-res. Please improve the WiiM app for increased artist and genre functionality. Thank you. Show more

The WIIM mini is by far the best low budget audio equipment I have ever purchased. An added bonus is the product is continually being improved.

This is working great. Love this app and the streamer. If I only had one thing to change, it would be a connection to the router. Lan connection instead of wireless,and would be more than happy to pay for the cost. And for it to be Roon ready, and that I would also be more than happy to pay for the difference Show more

I wanted a streamer for my home stereo system that wasn’t dependent on my mobile phone. I also didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars for something I can get with an app. The Wiim mini streamer checked all of my boxes. It was easy to set up and use. Love the ability to stream in HD and Hi-res. (Yes, I can hear the difference, although it is subtle.) The App is relatively straightforward and responsive as long as my wifi signal is strong. My phone now acts as the remote control only so I don’t have to hear notifications on my loudspeakers. I have had issues with my wifi previously but my new service seems to be holding up much better and with that I’ve been able to really enjoy all of the benefits of streaming audio through the Wiim. I’ve considered adding another streamer to my office system but could not justify spending $$ on another Blue Sound Node. Was using an AudioEngine B-FI but the app, also by LinkPlay is horrible. Tidal delivers my music to my restored vintage systems. Took delivery on a WiiM Mini on sale a few weeks back. Although I use Tidal Connect most of the time, this app is almost identical to BluOS. Very user friendly. It’s missing integration with a some BluOS native services. (EDIT: last update Radio Paradise was added. Thank you!) Not an issue, they can be streamed via AirPlay, so no big deal. BTW for best SQ hook your mini to an external DAC. I use a Modi3. Show more

Still getting random pauses in the middle of songs, but it does seem to have become less frequent over the last couple updates.

Very high quality playback. Well supported with constant updates. It just gets better and better. Well worth what you paid for it.

I found the app very use friend. Was up and running in no time. The only complaint I have, and this can be fixed for sure if signing in to Qobuz using Facebook account. It isn’t work while I am writing this review. Show more

This little $99 streamer is a highly supported product that delivers hifi music streaming and multi-room music for cheap! This full-functioned app is exceptional in its ease of use and flexibility. It now has an EQ! The developers keep updating the app to do more and more! I wouldn’t be surprised if this app is updated soon to make the Wiim Mini a surprise robot vacuum! Well, maybe not, but they sure keep making improvements to make the Wiim Mini a really good investment in a hifi rig or extra bedroom system! Certainly a surprisingly great product and app!
