I have found a lot of great use for this application as I am a double bass player. I just wished that it would allow the playback drone over Bluetooth. As it stands, I can only hear the drones from my tiny little iPhone speakers (bad for low frequencies) or through headphones. If this issue could be resolved it would make it the perfect application for me and I am sure many others. Show more

I am not a teacher, or professional musician, I play a guitar for the joy it gives me. This app is great, when it works. It tunes precisely, but suddenly gets stuck on one note. There is nothing I can do to force the needle to move again. It is incredibly frustrating. I went to the App Store to see if there has been an upgrade, but it appears that nothing has been done to repair this in two years. Please please repair this App. Show more

What a shame.

I’ve recommended this app to hundreds of students and a dozen schools. For years now, regardless of iOS or iphone version, the app does a terrible job of recognizing any audio. The needle just stays in the middle. *Stay Away* Show more

Does not work on 15.6.1

The tuning fork function works fine but the pitch pipe function does not work at all. It produces no sound . I’d like a refund.

Using iPhone 12 mini… I am not able to get it to listen to any note below Bb3. As a violinist, it was nice to be able to check all of my notes. Not sure what happened, but it has not worked for a few months at least. Show more

All other tuner’s I’ve tried pick up all 6 strings. Cleartune often fails to detect B and high E. Even tried with external mic, with no success. I like the app, but it is useless if I cannot tune all strings. Show more

Recently started freezing, in the middle of a concert. Can only fix by rebooting iPhone. Totally unacceptable as I need it to retune timpani in the middle of pieces. Even between pieces not enough time to reboot. HELP!!! Show more

I tried contacting the developer but the email bounced. Are they still functioning? I use the app on an iPhone to tune a harpsichord, starting in the middle of the keyboard. Once I get to about F2 the app either reads an octave too high (says F3) or cannot give any frequency. Any solutions? Show more

As I build bamboo flutes this tuner turns out to be pretty much useless. It is not sensitive enough to display notes that are out of range of fixed pitches. Often times it gets stuck and does not respond at all to any input. In that case I have to delete the app and download it again. It responses ok to guitar tuning though. Show more

Great app for the first 90 seconds it works. Then it freezes. Lots of other tuner options out there. Don’t waste your money here.

Paid for premium, app won’t work. Don’t waste your $.

I’ve been using this app for a while for pipe organ tuning. Its ability to do temperaments is great, however today when I tried to tune to A415 Neidhardt Kleine Stadt, this preset had disappeared and the A415 setting kept reverting to A440. I’m trying to get an organ tuned for a performance and now I am screwed. Two stars for past usefulness but this is really a problem. I’d say use this app with great caution because it is unstable and features that once worked have ceased to. I wouldn’t call it dependable. Sadly for what I do there is no other adequate app. What are we supposed to do? No app with the temperament features, and the one that has them doesn’t work!! Frustrated. Show more

Won’t register anything below a low Bb.

Used to be ok, now it doesn’t work at all. Occasionally it will indicate the note, but freezes most of the time which makes tuning impossible.

I loved this app. I had it on multiple devices, iOS, and android. Flawless. Unfortunately, it’s just not picking up notes anymore. The dial works sometimes, and doesn’t others. Sometimes if it doesn’t work, it will pick up the harmonic. I had to switch to some inferior tuner that works consistently, at least until this works again. iPhone 13, running ios 15. Show more
