This app would be perfect if it didn’t freeze up and not work the way it’s supposed to.

I have use Cleartune in all my piano lessons for almost 8 years. The most accurate tuner ever: digital, analog, app. Don't know how ,but it's the truth, i have tried more than 100 apps. It's Simple. Have had this app for years but is no longer working and hasn't for awhile now. Freezes mostly. Needs update.

I’m using an iPhone 12 pro, and the app has not been working properly. It sometimes responds better to pitches from C5 and up, but anything lower than that it gets stuck or doesn’t respond. I’ve tried downloading the app several times, I’ve changed my case to make there was no obstruction to the microphone, but the problem is still there. Is there a fix for this, otherwise I’ll to use another app. Cleartune used to work very well and was indispensable when it came to baroque temperaments. Show more

I have had this app a long time. It has long sent my korg and clip on tuners into the obscure corners of my garage. But… I recently purchased an IPhone 13 pro and re purchased the app under a new Apple ID. I am very disappointed. I am using free turners with better success. If the problems are not fixed by march if 2022, I will change to zero stars if it is possible. I hope that I will get my favorite app back and functional. Show more

Calibration by sound feature removed. This is very important to how I use it. Also pitch selection is extremely laggy on iPhone 12. This app is a classic, but doesn’t seem really supported anymore. Show more

I used to use this often- with the phone always in my pocket this app was great for checking the key of something quickly or as a back up tuner. But lately it is always frozen. Doesn't have to be a noisy environment, can be a long note in a silent room and this app is still useless. Current phone, current version- it just doesn't work. Show more

I just purchased clear tuner to tune my lute, but it doesn’t function. In fact, it’s frustrating.. Wish it wasn’t so glitchy. To pay for a product that doesn’t work is frustrating and there are no instruction.. I am disappointed and wish I didn’t make this purchase Show more

I used this app for several years, but it has become unresponsive on my iPhone 7+. I deleted and reinstalled, but still no joy.

I have use this app for quite a few years. It was especially helpful for practicing pedal tones. However it no longer responds to anything played below a B natural just under the staff. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program has not helped. I really like the layout of the program and the transposition feature but now I have to find something else. ? Show more

App is broken

For a while I believe there was no better tuning app. Unfortunately this app no longer functions correctly. The app will freeze/hang on certain notes and needs to be restarted constantly. Unreliable at best and unusable most of the time now. Show more

The app hasn’t been updated in years. For someone like me who had enjoyed this app when it actually worked, it’s just signaling me the developer has abandoned the app and time for me to search for an alternative. Show more

Before my 12 pro max it worked great. Now when I try to move from pitch to pitch for tuning my ensemble it gets stuck. Very frustrating when you are trying to tune 50 middle schoolers. Show more

Really well designed app. It really needs an update for bug fixes and for general smoothening of the UI.

Suddenly I can no longer set this tuner to A-415. The historical temperaments still work but I need to be able to change the A to a lower pitch. I can change it but it immediately changes back to 440. If you fix it I will restore my five star rating. Right now it is useless to me. Show more

The was my first iPhone tuner and is still my favorite. No frills, just what you need. At some point however the mic level or something seems to have changed. I can’t tune my electric violin without needing to plug it in. Works great for ukulele. Also lately when manually selecting pitch using the pitch tone feature, the wheel responds very inconsistently to touch which makes it frustrating to pick a frequency. I hope they fix this. It really is a five star app otherwise. Show more

This was once my favorite tuning app. Now it freezes on the regular and lags when I try to change tones with the tuning dial. How frustrating! What happened Cleartune developers? I'm using an iPhone Pro Max and this app acts like it's struggling. I wish the developers would fix the app to work like it used to back in the day. I guess in the meantime I'll just delete it and find a replacement. Show more

This app freezes Evertime I use it. The last it froze I was backstage tuning before a show.
