Loved this app for listening before bed but the sleep function is now gone!

With the newest update they removed the timer . I have been a long time supporter finically and love to listen to the news and classical at night. We would set the timer every night and drift to sleep. Now I wake up in the middle of the night and have to shut it off. Please bring the timer back. Thank you Show more

Listen to TRILLOQUY instead

With the latest update, I can no longer listen to MPR when I use other applications or lock my screen. It is not possible anymore to listen without actively using the app, and I am very disappointed. Show more

I’m no longer able to stream MPR Classical for more than a few minutes without the feed just dropping. No warning and no reason, it just stops streaming. Same thing if I’m using my desktop PC at the MPR website. Show more

I love MPR but this app has gotten so frustrating. It plays ads at random times in the middle of stories - sometimes after only a few seconds after the last ad. I can’t figure out what triggers an ad. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been engrossed in a story to have it interrupted or miss the conclusion entirely because the app played one, two or three ads. MPR - I love your service. I’ve used this app for several years to access MPR online but it has become impossible to listen for more than a few minutes. The advertisements that play at the beginning have begun to play in the middle of stories, then begin interrupting themselves: ads playing in the midst of ads. It ends with ads playing every 10 seconds or so and I have to give up. This has happened with the mobile app and with streaming on my desktop computer. I’ve tried contacting the station for help with no luck. I loved this station for so long but can no longer listen or recommend the app. The information is so important these days but it’s impossible to get it from MPR’s streaming services. Show more

It is consuming 30% of my battery usage yet has no option to turn off background data. It plays commercials each time you unpause or move from Wi-Fi to mobile data. Seriously flawed and hasn’t been fixed in 6+ months. Time to move on. I have told MPR I will not increase my donation unless they fix this. Show more

I love this app and the many station and stream options. But I hate that it requires WiFi. I can use all of my other media apps using cellular data, even Netflix! Please fix this ridiculous limitation. Show more

I typically don’t have problems with the app. I just wish you could pause or rewind the playback every now and then. Or if you get disconnected you don’t have to listen to the “This is MPR...” before the broadcast picks up again. I end up missing a lot in the stories if I have to take a phone call or something like that. Show more
