    Incompatible with a VPN
    Cannot use the Sonos app anytime the VPN is connected. Have to disconnect anytime I want to select music to play. What a pain in the rear!

    Frustrated
    Have spent hours trying to get my speakers working again. From the last time as I gave up before. Finally got them added but now I can’t get my music from my iPhone to play on the speakers. There should be an easy way. Long ago it was so easy. My music library was there and it would play. Now I have to jump through so many hoops and I still don’t know how to just get my songs from my iPhone to play. I won’t buy any more Sonos speakers even though they are great because it is too complex to get my library to play. I don’t know what an NAS drive is. Songs won’t play through airplay so again I give up and just stream to my bose speaker. My wonderful speakers are useless if I can’t get them to play the music on my iPhone library. So I give up again. Show more

    Inconsistent
    I’ve been with Sonos for what, 15yrs.? Sonos, you asked for the review, so I’m telling you to get your devices to link and synced. Stop hating Google. I am done with this failure and ALL of the excuses. Note~~~~ I have 7 products. Show more

    Major regrets
    Invasive permissions (location, mic, and cell data required for hardware setup). Stubborn refusal (and bad business decision) to play nice with Apple. Sonos account overly-coupled to hardware, making it impossible to control friend’s system (e.g. using hardware at an AirBnB requires factory reset and setup from scratch). Ultimately just a grody business model that locks customers in with overpriced hardware, leaving little incentive for Sonos to care about UX, which is crappy. And don’t even get me started on the planned obsolescence (S1 -> S2 -> the eventual day when hundreds of dollars of hardware become paperweights). I’d you’re going to lock yourself into a walled garden, don’t bet on Sonos. Go with Apple, Amazon, or Alexa. Show more

    It’s ok - can’t access podcasts
    It’s not a big deal but you can’t play podcasts from Sonos thru the Sonos S1 app. Not a big deal as I can listen via Spotify, just weird they would omit to make the S1 app compatible? Show more

    Maddening
    This update has essentially made our speakers unusable. The connection to our streaming services is inconsistent at best and if the speakers actually do play, the music randomly cuts in and out. It’s absolutely maddening! If we ultimately have to purchase another wireless speaker system, it certainly will not be Sonos. Show more

    Latest update won’t load.
    Shows the splash screen for a few seconds and then quits. 7th gen iPod Touch running iOS 15.6.1.

    Does not work at all
    Completely unresponsive on the first setup page that says “All your music in one app.” Can’t swipe to the next page, can’t sign in, can’t tap anything.

    The worst
    So I can’t add a new product unless I add the S2 and and downgrade a product to the S1 level. I’m OUT!

    Overprice / Overly Complicated
    I’m an IT guy. I have just about every type of smart home consumer product out there. This platform is OVERPRICED and stupidly complex. Do yourself and your wallet a favor, PASS on SONOS. Show more

    Should be better
    The iPad version of this app should allow for landscape view of your zones on the left and music services on the right, just like the desktop version of the app. Show more

    S1 crashes and alarms stopped working
    And they want me to buy their newer non-compatible components and junk my 9 S1 components…. I look like an absolute fool.

    Garbage pisswater app
    Sonos must have paid for good reviews because there’s no way this garbage deserves 4 stars. Sonos should be ashamed of themselves tbh someone should physically harm them.

    The price of loyalty
    €6k to get sound back in my house - all of my speakers worked fine until last update. Ridiculous.

    Disappointed that Sonos is forcing a hardware update. I will never buy another Sonos product again.
    Great way to listen to music and numerous streaming options. Biggest miss is the lack of integration with Alexa and/or ability to operate using voice commands.
