Formerly Slacker, LiveOne Plus is similar to Pandora Plus in playing genre-based ad-free radio stations but not including playing songs on demand which would cost considerably more. The distinction is that LiveOne Plus is about a third of the Pandora Plus price on an annual basis. So definitely the best value option. The only downside is the app is a bit of a mess as the company is trying to tout events, videos, podcasts, etc. Would be nice to see an app focused purely on the music listening experience. So many ads now. Just unbearable.

I’ve had livexlive (formerly known as slacker radio) since I got a smartphone. I’m a creature of habit and enjoyed the easy interface that I grew so accustomed to but slowly over the past year nearly 50% of the songs and artists I had in my playlists became unable to play due to “licensing issues”. At first it was just a few songs until it became all my favorite artists. Not only that but the pre selected stations hardly ever had anything new in over a 5 year span. What ultimately made me cancel and switch to Spotify was when most of my playlists just didn’t show any songs anymore and wouldn’t play. I have horrible memory and relied on my playlists to save songs I loved for years and now all of a sudden they where all gone. I emailed livexlive again and again on this issue with no response at all from them. Show more

I listen to the top 40 rock countdown each week. It often resets back to 40 before I get through the countdown. It made it to song 3 this week before randomly resetting to 40 in the middle of me listening to it. This is on a Thursday, not the beginning of the week when the new top 40 starts. Show more

Created an account and the app just constantly crashed.

I pay for a year for 35.99 but it tell me that I have Basic fix it or give me my money back.

Since April 16, 2022 you guys are playing Christmas music. In December will you be playing beach music?

They play a very good selection of music. Sometimes they offer you a chance 430 or even 60 minutes without as if you listen to one video upfront. I just wish I could see the title and artist of the song playing for more than a millisecond Show more

This keeps crashing hope it fixed already

This App works extremely well, requires networks and devices attached to all be current. As with all apps with media, events for sale buyers beware. Requires understanding agreement, before acceptance. Love this service, by the way, nothing perfect ?. Show more

Incredible service!

This app claims that it has unlimited skips… but if you skip too many….. you get kicked off the app and sign back in using a security code….. this needs to be removed…. Show more

I paid for slacker plus. Then it went to live by live “powered by slacker”. Now it’s live one. Service has taken a dive head first into a flaming dumpster. The app constantly crashes or just won’t load at all. It’s become as repetitive as pandora when I used to be able to listen for 6-8 hours without repeats. Channels are never updated. I’m looking for a new option. Show more

4$/m for unlimited skip and no ad. Sheee. I mean honestly with unlimited skip I can eventually find a song that will satisfy my craving. If I so heavily desire a specific song I can hit up YouTube for a minute. As for my music app - this liveone app might be exactly what I need. Best price I’ve found too. I am rather excited by the user interface so far tbh. Might be the real reason why I’m so seriously considering it. I mean ytm has no ads on yt and a very shareable family plan. Apple Music has best compatibility with my AirPods and is offering spatial audio and live lyrics. Mmph. This is tough decision. I will continue to explore the app before I give a final review. I really love this app. However, I always find myself defaulting to Pandora or Amazon because they are so much faster and responsive. They just work. It takes forever to launch this app and get it going. If it were faster, it would be my “go to” app. Show more

70% commmercials

Since the new update, if your screen goes dark or if you close the app, the music won’t play in the background. It actually stops. It never did that before. It kills the battery when I have to keep the screen on!! Very disappointed with the app since the new update. More stars when fixed. Show more

The app works well and is easy to navigate. The add free option is reasonable, which was why I went to this app from Spotify over the Joe Rogan misinformation that they did nothing about. Anyway, my 3 stars is every station I tried had talking. If I wanted talking between songs I'd listen to the radio. Show more
