This app is fun to play and the notes sound OK. The keys are backward though, the low key should be in the middle instead of the outside.

Plays and sounds very much like my real one. Nice sound and choice of scales. The ads aren't overly intrusive, but I'd gladly pay a buck or two for an advert-free version. Show more

Nice! Very cool!

Maybe it's just me but even with my volume set as loud as it can get. I can still barly hear a thing coming from it. Now if the volume was adjusted so it was louder then it would be perfect. Show more

The app is nice enough, but I must say that I don't appreciate these guys distribute an free app with an innocent purpose, only to advertise pornographic applications with it. It's misleading and invasive. Show more

The thumb piano is simplicity itself - anyone can play (it's like all black notes on a piano - you can't go wrong), yet there's enough interest and quality for musician's. A couple more tines (keys) might be too crowded for fingers, but I would pay a buck (and add a star) for another five or so tunings. (It has two: C and G.) Sounds ok through the speakers at lower volumes, and quite good through decent headphones. This app is a keeper. Show more

Its lame but its free

I've been looking for this great African instrument ever since Earth Wind and Fire featured it on one of there 70's hits "Kalimba". A beautiful sounding instrument that you have captured wonderfully. Love it! Show more

Its good if your bored, but not as fun if you play for fun

I was looking for something fun to play terribly at when I found this thing that I thoght might be entertaining. Allthis game has done is keep Me interested for like 20 seconds taken up my precious iPod memory and asked to be pointlessly updated every 2 days! If you want a good app try going to catagories and choosing stratagy games! The last I can say is thank goodness it was free. Show more

I died inside because of this

Sound can be incredibly distorted even at low volume levels.

Gets old in about 30 seconds

It's free people what the heck could you complain about? It's very polished and sounds great! I just wish there were more tunings and maybe options for more keys on a menu. These would make it a perfect 5 stars! Show more

I'm not sure if it's good, cause I don't have headphones but... Yeh for me it's a pile o' 

As a professional percussionist with 4 CDs on iTunes, I can say that this app is pretty amazing while being free on top of it. I've read the bad reveiws below, sad as they are written by people who say they know nothing about a kalimba.....shocking.. My advice is to go buy a real one for $75+. For to have this soothing instrument with me at all times is nothing short of amazing. Show more

This app fails without headphones for me, but it pwns with headphones!!!!!! You shoul get this but wearing headphones is recommended

It's really stupid, if you're going ok my word, don't buy it.
