There is something about this app that is magic. It's probably the most playable app on my iPad. I've worked out many song ideas using it without trying. The writing process just happens naturally, the way it would with a real instrument. For me that is very rare on iOS and deserves attention. Hope this developer makes more. I use this app live when I perform during yoga classes. The recorder allows me to stack up several layers can't wait for the loop control would like to be able to save loops for replay from a list. Great app well worth the very small fee for such high quality. So many scales to choose from would like to be able to modify the scales. Show more

Worth the money for the sample set alone, some of the cleanest steel drum sounds I've heard in a kit. With a few extra features this would be a 5 star app for sure. Show more

Every time I open the app, I get an audio bus error and the app immediately crashes. This 3.2 update completely bricked the app. I wished I never upgraded.

It seems there is a audiobus warning, that it cannot connect, then if you try to play, it crashes. I hope there is a fix soon

Promised updates when purchased. Developer is no where to be found.

Heard hang drum on several u-tube videos and went looking for an App. This sounds just like the physical instrument. Always brings me peace:)

I have an iPad air and the touch response time is, at least to me on this tablet, perfect. They even have the flat spot of the hang programmed to the outside so you can get the full compliment of sounds that you would expect from a real hang. This app is my meditation zone until I can afford a real hang. Very we'll done. We just need to be able to export the music we make and do some layering now. I can't tell you how happy I am with this app. I love the hang drum and until I can get one for real, this will keep me entertained beyond belief. Add to it that I can record my stuff straight into GarageBand, and I am the happiest person on the planet right now! EVERYTHING should work with Audiobus!!! The only negative is that it is a little slow on the touchscreen, but otherwise, awesome app! Show more

Beautiful sound!

I've been wanting to buy a hang drum for some time, and then when I bumped into a bunch of different turnings on the Internet, I realized it would take some time to know what to choose. Now I can decide with the help of this app, whose 45 tunings cover them all. It doesn't create the real acoustic effect (a limit of the iPad), but for playing with the tunings, it's indispensable! Very fun to play, too. Show more

Pops up on screen for less than 1 second. Blink and gone. Won't load. Have reinstalled X3. Try again. Perhaps without so much blah blah blah about how great the update is. Come on guys--if you are going to update do it right. Show more

This app is great for people on a budget. Or if you can't get your hands on one of these great instruments.

Anyone who doesn't like this app is way too picky, and probably doesn't know how to use it. The tones are high quality sound, and you can play multiple notes at the same time. This is also the closest most will come to this fascinating instrument since they are all $2000- and up if you ever get the chance to be a waiting list for an instrument like this.
