Great App and Wonderful Customer Service
Got the trial app and just love it! I catalogued 75 CDs in about 20 minutes. I would also recommend getting the Music Connect web based program as you can edit your information easier in bulk. Also, I was impressed with their customer service as I had a question and they replied via email with the exact answer to my question. Show more

Finally got around to using it.
I have had the app for some time but was not originally impressed as it had some quirks. Now that sheltering in place is a thing, I revisited it and was very to happy to see there have been some improvements eliminating those little quirks. I scanned in a few hundred so far and kept thinking there is no way they will have this title, but was proven wrong after scanning the barcode and up pops the disc. I had to contact support for syncing issues since it has been a long time in between uses, but got the correct answer back quickly to get databases to sync. Very pleased. Even told a friend about the app. Show more

    Getting better
I’ve been a user since 1999 and have seen the product get better and better over the years. I just moved to Connect this week. Support has always been top notch, which is so important in today’s world. These folks never delay in getting back to me and are always very helpful. Highly recommended!! Would love to see them design a product for sports cards!! A+! Show more

    Effective Time Saver
I researched apps on line for an app that could categorize and store CDs by scanning the bar code. After reading the reviews I decided on CLZ. I have over 560 CDs in my collection. I was able to scan about 65% of them. They scanner worked flawlessly and could even read many of the bar codes that had scratches or damage. I had a pile of CDs that I needed to add to the database. I entered the CD name or artist and selectd CD as the medium. In every case but one, it provided a list of CDs. I was surprised to learn that sometimes CDs of the same title and artist would have CDs with different songs. The only major release that I had to manually enter songs was True Love by Pat Benatar. For some reason the database only listed three songs I also have a number of CDs I buy from local artists. These, of course were not in the database, but adding a CD manually is easy and only a bit time consuming. My only complaint is the genre selection. Some CDs would have 7 genres and I didn’t see a way to edit this during scanning. Another must have feature is the ability to export the database of your CDs to a text file. I exported and opened the file with Excel. This allowed me to change the genre easily to a more easily sorted database. If you have lots of CDs and would like them organized CLZ is a great choice. I entered my entire selection in one afternoon. Show more

    Happy user
I’m a new user and am still learning, but like nearly everything! Like to be able to add my own filing numbers, though!? other than that, I’m good!!

    Awesome App!
I’ve been using CLZ Music collector for 5+ years and it’s been a great way to catalog my CDs and LPs. I use it to keep all media organized by genre and alpha in CD rack and LP cabinet (1000 CDs +100 newly added LPs.) when I scan a new CD - I instantly know which CDs it goes between! CLZ is always improving the app. like recently adding statistics in real. 5.2. The best part for me is being able to scan barcodes or enter catalog #s - I can’t imagine doing it manually anymore. And now scanning is in the app - no more need for the separate Barry app. Syncing to the cloud is a nice assurance too. One of the best working apps I’ve found for running on my PC, MAC, iPhone and iPad ! Show more

    The best music cataloguing system
There’s no better system for cataloguing an extensive, or even a small, music collection. With both the iOS and Mac apps, it’s easy to add and edit albums, whether CDs, vinyl, or files. The level of detail is great, everything from conductor and orchestra for classical, to specifying vinyl weight and color. There are regular updates providing new benefits, and syncing across multiple devices is simple. You can even create “for sale” lists, and wish lists for when you go shopping. I’ve been a satisfied user for years now, and it just keeps getting better. Show more

    A must have
If you have a serious music collection or even just a large amateur collection you need this database. It’s easy to use and due to the large database available from other users, adding your own music is a snap... even when loading older albums that have no barcode. Multiple data fields allow you to get as detailed as you desire. Always know what you have and where it’s at! Show more

    Scans are Quick
Added to iPhone and started quickly scanning CD’s. I had a few questions and received quick response from the developer. Looking forward to taming my large music library. Show more

    Perfect program
I have 10000+ albums, digital albums (iTunes) and other media. The desktop program allows me to catalog all of that stuff. The mobile app allowed me to add the vinyl without having to move more than a few feet from the storage shelves. Most importantly when I go vinyl shopping I have my full collection with me on my phone. That way I don’t buy anymore vinyl that I already have. That was the ultimate goal of this whole exercise. Great app and great support
I’ve been using the Games app for a few years and decided to branch out to the Music app to catalog my collection. I downloaded the trial and had issues adding albums. Support was all over it, very responsive and worked with me to fix my issue. Now I’m adding my collection with ease. I love that the track details can be included. Show more

    Thieves & Robbers
This company stole my money and deleted all my data on me so that they could start gouging people for a monthly subscription instead of you just paying a one time fee and owning the app like it was when I got it! If they screwed me, they’ll screw you too,.. do not waste your money getting bent over by these liars!!! Show more

    Nope.
I have the CLZ comics and movies app that I paid $15 each for. I downloaded the music app before they went to subscriptions, which is very annoying btw. They used to give you 100 free to add to your database. Out of the 25 records I tried, I found 1. Yes 1 lonely record that is still sitting in my collection. I’m about to delete the app. But before I do that, if you want to an app like this, download the Discogs app. It actually works, it will find your music, and it’s FREE. No subscriptions. Show more

    Good app
Gives me a complete picture of my collection

Not going to be a subscriber
$14.99 one time price was more than enough for this app.

Ideal for non-classical genres, good for classical too...
I’ve been using Music Collector for about 7 years, I tried alternatives but consider this to be the best. I subscribe to all 3 versions of the software (desktop, web-based and iOS). All are pretty much ideal for cataloging non-classical genres: the important fields are all there and they sync seamlessly. It is easy to add albums, and you can upload your own artwork if you wish. All great. If, like me, your collection includes classical music, you will find the desktop version best. A key difference for classical is that you often need an additional “composition level” between album and track where you can group, say, the movements of a symphony. The desktop version has you covered for this (it has a composition field and you can also use headers). The problem for the web and iOS versions is that neither composition nor header fields can currently be synced, so they lack this important feature. I hope the developers will consider enabling them in a future update. Then the package will be entirely awesome on all counts! Show more

Great addition to my vinyl collection
Gone are the days of coming home with new records, only to realize I already had several of them! Now I can take my collection with me everywhere!! This app is a MUST HAVE for any serous music enthusiast who prefers tangible recordings over digital! Don’t get me wrong I own music on ALL media types. I’m so relieved this app helps me stay organized! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Show more

    Crashes on basic tasks
Cool app that I’ve used in the past, but now it closes every time I try to delete an album on both iPhone and iPad

    So few Titles
I’m glad I didn’t buy the full version! Of the first 13 artists I tried to enter, it couldn’t find albums for 4 of them. And we’re talking artists like Fleetwood Mac and Warren Zevon. Unless you want to add a lot of titles manually, skip this app.... Show more

    Artists all over the place
Easy to add items to data base but have cd and vinyl titles all over the place have Beatles cd's in B and vinyl in T and tryin to fix is not intuitive.have tried to fix sort titles but nothing happens. If a groups name begins with The in vinyl it gets dumped in T field not so with cds. Show more
