Glitchy - sometimes when I go to a certain web page it just stops playing, or stops when I have bad service. Since radio, would like it to be more reliable. I also feel like it lags slightly behind the actual broadcast. The MBE playlist rarely updates in real time. Just wish it worked a bit better. Love you KCRW. Show more

Recent version stops playing when background or phone is locked, making it effectively useless.

KCRW/Public radio news is so far left, it's difficult to listen to it. But the music content is great.

This is a great app for a great station. I use it all or most days of the week. My modest wish list would include: 1. A slightly longer cache for when WiFi or cellular data drops out briefly, which is pretty common where I live. 2. Apple Watch compatibility so I can go out in the woods (or wherever) without my phone on me and still keep KCRW running. Show more

Love the station but the most recent version of the app keeps losing connections to speakers/headphones when pushed to the background. It’s very unstable and now crashes occasionally as well. Not sure if it’s the recent move to iOS 15.1 that’s the problem or just a buggy update. Please fix it quickly! Show more

It opens for a flash then disappears- so frustrating!

I use an iPhone 6 Plus and recently the app does not work any longer. Starting approximately a month ago and since then, when I click on the app to open it, it closes immediately there after and I am unable to open the app and stream. Will you please correct this for older iPhone users? Thank you. Show more

Will not play content unless phone is awake, and the app is on the screen

Recent update opens briefly then crashes - iOS 12.5.5 on older iPhone. Hoping to get it back!

Every time I go from Wi-Fi to cellular (leaving home, getting home) the stream is interrupted and resets with the same intro advertisement announcement thing. Especially annoying when you’re listening to a live radio story and it cuts out for 10 sec while you hear the same KCRW announcement for the 10 millionth time. Show more

Hi, the new update doesn’t seem to work with older iPhones. The app opens briefly and then immediately closes. I’d like to think that I don’t have to buy a brand new iPhone that runs the latest operating system in order to use your app. Sincerely, A KCRW member Show more

Love the app and everything about it. Would be great if we could save specific shows to a list. “Henry Rollins set 654” + the date it originally aired. I’ve got some favorite bu many of the ska and would love save a best of list somewhere. Show more

This one of the best stations around and the content is always up to date. For a non-profit local L.A. station they are way ahead of the crowd. Please just fix the volume issue when the iPhone is locked and also fix Siri cutting in sometimes. Show more

This is a great app with a new bug, it will only Play 5-10 seconds over Bluetooth. It used to work perfectly.

Constantly stops playing for no reason, or won’t respond to the play button or pause button. Incredibly frustrating.

After the update, the streaming stops when the screen locks. Please change this! Continued listening on my iPhone has just become impossible.

In most iOS apps, when you remove EarPods, the app stops playing audio... oh no, NOT with KCRW... someone comes to my desk while I works, I take my headphones off so I can have a conversation, KCRW app decides to play audio through the phone speakers instead... making me scramble to quickly find my phone and open the app to hit the pause button. Awesome feature guys... I've been embarrassed more than a few times. Show more

Always appreciate it, but the new version stops playing the live stream when the phone is locked. This is a problem and wasn’t that way before. When the phone is idle and playing the radio stream, it shuts off after a couple minutes. Makes it sorta unusable. Show more

This app is frustrating. Everything is going well, then it quits and the play button just does nothing. This information KCRW is very informative but the app just makes you want to stop listening. Show more

This station consistently publishes blatently racist content. Most of the featured news stories center around people's race, skin color, and/or gender. I would not recommend any of the "informational" content published by this station, though the music programming is high-quality. Show more
