They took away the only thing that made me buy this app (forward and reverse function). I want my money back. Nothing special here without that function.

I regret “updating” the app, resulting in me losing the pause, rewind, and fast forward features, plus all my favorite and historical saved audio clips. Not happy. Used app daily for 10 years or so. Show more

Still a very good app though, the paid Pro version is no longer ad-free. So that’s a bummer since I mean that was why I bought the pro. Overall I would recommend this app. Just get the regular free version while you can. Show more

Great app to stream local or national radio stations.

I have been a long time tunein fan it has always been my go to app for talk radio, podcasts, and audio books. I have probably been using tunein for 5+ years, been a monthly subscriber for 3+ years and remember paying extra for the pro app way before tunein really caught on. I was really disappointed when they stopped offering audio books because they where a huge value and was worth paying for. Then tunein slowly started removing all of my favorite podcasts until there was basically nothing left but npr. So at this point there where only about 3 talk shows left that I’d occasionally listen too definitely not worth 9.99 a mouth. Show more

I am an frequent user of TuneIn. I enjoyed it so much that I upgraded to the Pro version; however, I used to be able to record my favorite news shows. This was especially convenient if there was a schedule conflict with being able to listen to my shows live. But, I noticed with a recent app update, that this “recording” feature was removed. Really disappointed, truly disappointed, Without this feature, what’s the real need to having & paying for the “Pro” version? I wish the company would bring this option back. Until then, I’ll be searching for other apps that more so align with what I am looking for Show more

I've been using the app for years. until a recent update, I've been extremely happy with it, preferring it over iheart. I was unhappy with the change where my favorite stations didn't come up as the default view. That's apparently been corrected. Also a couple of the European stations have been removed that I liked. You'd get 5 stars if it wasn't for that. Show more

Is this more than a coincidence? nonstop “technical difficulties” for MSNBC and CNN but not Fox News Radio.

This app used to be able to pause livestreams, allowing the listener to pause and continue a program to avoid missing anything, or to replay segments and skip ahead. Sadly, those features are no longer available in the past few versions. Show more

THE LOSS OF “RECORD” IS GREATLY MOURNED. 23-Oct-22 - Went to update my review, only to see that nothing has changed (though others mention that even more features have gone away since then). Radio stations that stream usually have their own apps, so, without any features other than just plain playing radio stations, there’s not much reason to have this app. For what it’s worth, I still have Tune In Pro versions 5.1 and 14.9 on my iOS 6 and iOS 9 devices and 16.7 on iOS 16. They are saved to my computer just in case Tune In Pro accidentally gets updated. These earlier versions of Tune In Pro knock the socks off of the current version and are a joy to use (even with glitches in 16.7). These earlier versions of Tune In Pro are what made this a five-star app. Today’s version? Well, you see it above. Three. 29-Nov-20: Trying to be as unemotional as possible. Tune In and Tune In Pro: Still the best collection of radio stations from around the world. A one-stop-shop for basically any radio station not bound in an exclusivity agreement. Even though some radio stations are now exclusive to iHeart and Radio.com (now Audacy), Tune In still has thousands more radio stations available than either iHeart or Radio.com. Nevertheless, the loss of the “record” feature is greatly mourned. It was never a true record feature, creating MP3 or M4A files that could be ported to another device. The “record” feature on Tune In Pro was nothing more than a “time shift” feature, allowing the listener to hear a radio broadcast at a more convenient time. The final word: Loss of the “record” feature means that, while Tune In Pro is still pretty good, it is no longer special. It is no longer great. Show more

I love the quality and speed of Pro version of TuneIn…worth the $10.90 after tax.

TuneIn will not return to the previous in-process podcast when the app is restarted. I have to do a bunch of selecting and scrolling and manually select the podcast to which I was previously listening. Commands for skipping both Forward and Backward do not work over Bluetooth. You have to use the onscreen (<< or >>) icons within the app to accomplish this. All of this makes for a very clunky and cumbersome experience. Being a premium subscriber does not make any difference. Show more

I listen to 2 stations (1 iHeart station and 1 sports radio station) to listen to baseball games. I got this app to listen to both. I don’t need any other content. The iHeart station works equally to the iHeart app without a subscription while the sports station works worse than other internet radio apps. The iHeart subscription is cheaper than TuneIn premium. The sports station has overlaid ads that take too long and they delay the game. MLB breaks between innings are 2 min 5 seconds as of a few years ago. There should be no more than 2 ads then the app needs to go back to the station to avoid delaying the game. The premium subscription dies not remove those ads and the last update made the ads even more intrusive. If I switch to the iHeart station then back to the sports station, the overlaid ad starts over and delays the broadcast of the game, which is a major issue for live sports. This app was supposed to remove pre-roll ads, that’s a big reason why I paid for the pro version, but the last update broke that. I’m done. The frustration has been building for a while now. The last update was the final straw. Show more

Will delete app after this review. Buffering is no longer possible, 30 seconds forward and backward is no longer possible and the record button feature is just but a faint memory. I remember that I paid for the pro version a long time ago and had all this features. I tune staff never responds to these reviews, they used to do it. Don't bother with this app. Show more
