I hardly give reviews for apps. I only do if I absolutely love the app, or just flat out hate it. In this case, it's absolute love! There are definitely no complaints about this app! The stunning 3D graphics are only one on a kind. You will never see another app (besides all your other ones) that has the same out-of-this-world graphics put in place. And the story! It's amazing (and tragic)! So far, at the time of this review, I have just reached the third form of Jeremih (sorry if I spelled the name wrong). All the levels are equally balanced with a perfect amount of difficulty added with each level. If I had one complaint, it would be about a song. The one song where he is talking about running(?) and weather in the chorus. The person singing sounds like he has a hoarse throat. I would say this would be the only change needed to be made. Once again, congratulations on your success with this game. I look forward to more updates!  Show more

Amazing

I first purchased it last year after reading the review in the NYT and had a lot of fun completing the levels and saving the damsel. The new version now requires the player to reach certain goals (like gold cups) before proceeding, not just finishing the levels. I am stuck at level 10 and cannot proceed any further. I am deleting the app. Show more

My only major gripe is having my save status and acheivements wiped after the last update. The message stating I pirated the game before I updated was not to cool either. Otherwise a fun and inovative game with artistic style. •update• another game update = another wipe of my saved status. Comon guys. Show more

Sweet! This game already ran well on my 2G iPhone (which is saying something), but with this new update it’s super smooth! According to my kids the new levels are “totally awesome” (yes, apparently kids still say totally awesome). My hubby and I both bought the app so the kids can play at the same time thus keeping the peace. P.S. I love that they’re getting some exposure to the unique music of Daniel Johnston. Beats the Jonas Brothers any day. Show more

Phenomenal game!!! Style is great, Music is unique, Gameplay is completely original and keeps you coming back for more. Completely worth 2.99 and worth a lot more than that! Best part is the updates they keep doing. Actual gameplay updates, none of the old "bugfixes" updates I get with other apps. Show more

I have bought over 50 apps so far, and this is one of my favorites. I use the joystick controls so far, and the gameplay is GREAT. I already recommended it to my brother and dad. Mario-lite is a good way to put it. Get it while only .99$. FOR AN UPDATE: I am unfamiliar with this guys music and like it, so please add an option on the Menu screen to just listen to a few tracks with no gameplay. Also, more levels obviously would be cool!!! Show more

Watched the devil and Daniel Johnston and was blown away by his sheer genius. From his art to his music to his parents I can't believe I haven't heard that much about him. After researching him on the Internet I found about this game. Absoluty amazing. Just the artwork and music is well worth the money. A must have!!! Show more

I have been listening to Daniel Johnston lately, and when I found out about this app I HAD to buy it, and it's awesome!!! 

This game is absolutely beautiful and charming. The user interface, graphics, and physics are impeccable. It just makes you smile. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't a bit on the easy side. I got through all levels with gold trophies and unlocked all challenges within a couple hours of play. Once you get used to the 3D controls and graphics, it's pretty easy to power through the whole game. Still love it, though! Great tribute to Johnston! Show more

This app stopped working after I updated my iPhone o/s. No fix or reply from developer. When I run it, it says I have a pirate version and should buy it again! Who's the pirate? They took my money and this app does not work. DON'T BUY unless they fix it. Show more

I hate paying for apps but this was worth every penny. Fans of Johnston will find the rewards far outweigh the cost of this app. People looking for a fun game that is pretty addictive and engaging, I tell you that satisfaction awaits. Good for bus rides, office waiting, bathroom breaks, procrastination, vegging at home and beyond! If you like Daniel Johnston, you will like Hi How Are You...or at least that's my guess.
