The music selection is kind of difficult, as I use playlist folders and it just shows all my playlists on the first page. I got this app because I like to shuffle by grouping, but there is no app for that, and this is the next best thing. This app shouldn't be necessary, but because it is, I'm glad it exists. Show more

Update: Shuffle by album has been fixed, and all is well with the world! It still continues to play after you exit out of the app, and pauses when you return to the app, but those are minor. Use it. Use it now! ------ The new update has broken it's primary purpose: to shuffle by entire album. Now, it shuffles the entire playlist, song by song, as iTunes would. Also, when you exit out of the app, it continues to play. Hopefully, the developer can fix this soon because it really is the only thing out there that can shuffle by album. Show more

The "add from playlist" function was completely non-functional and shuffling by playlist is the only reason I wanted an app like this. Would definitely try again if they released a new version that fixed this bug. For reference, I'm on iOS 8.3 Show more

This is one of my favorite and most frequently used apps—or it was until I updated to iOS 8. I'm using an iPhone 4s and the app never gave me any problems prior to updating to iOS 8, but now it crashes within a second or two of opening it and never makes it past the first screen. I'd really love to see it fixed to work with iOS 8 as there's no other app out there that manages album shuffle as well as this one or allows album shuffle by playlist. Show more

I love this app and use it all the time while driving. Now it will not load with most current ios8. I'm using a iPhone 4s the function is intermittent, generally I'm getting a messed up load screen without the usual loading albums message then it bails out to main screen. The skip buttons are also blank Show more

When I reload my iPod Touch with albums, I go the the Smart Shuffle screen to view my albums, and I make sure I click on the "Select All" option so it plays all the albums I loaded, then click "Shuffle". Well, it seems to want to play some albums 2-3 times, others 1-2 times and a WHOLE lot don't get played at all. This really needs a "play every album once then reshuffle" option. Show more

1-I find it odd that the app does not ask for access to my music it just automatically goes there 2-Will not work while docked. Every time I stop the music And either: -turn off the iPod -remove the cord -turnoff my stereo or my truck it either : -skips three or four songs and then starts playing again. -or, causes the iPod to start playing. Resulting in me They just shut down the app every time I pull my truck over, Which in turn makes me listen to the first alphabetical album every freaking time I start this app -it only works good while you continually have it on -as soon as you turn off the iPod you have to go back to that first album every time. - which wouldn't be bad but App always picks the same five albums repeatedly to play out of 279 albums on my iPod Show more

It gets the job done, but there’s some room for additional improvement. The developer’s website doesn’t have contact info, so I’ll leave some notes here: - Swiping to change tracks/albums would be awesome (e.g. horizontal for tracks, vertical for albums). - Handling non-square album art by scaling instead of resizing would be nice. Apple already does this on the lock screen. - Keeping track of the current album/track when changing tracks would be cool, for when the OS closes the app in the background (since the app doesn’t keep the last generated playlist). - Keeping the last generated playlist would be nice, in order to speed up startup times for when the OS closes the app. Show more

I LOVE THIS APP. My only complaint is that the last upgrade caused me to loose my album choices. So, now the app shuffles every album—including the Christmas albums I had chosen not to shuffle. The only way to fix it seems to be to go back in and reselect my choices—not easy with the number of albums I have. Show more

This is a really useful app for those of us who miss shuffle-by-album functionality in iOS. Why Apple got rid of that feature is beyond me. I'd love to see a native-iPad version, but other than that I'm very happy with this app. Show more

Completely foolish of Apple to have removed this feature, but they continue to make the iPod software worse with each iteration. This is a much needed work around. FYI- I had to restart phone after this update in order to get pause button to work. Show more

I missed being able to listen to one album at a time on shuffle, and no other apps really helped. Thank God I found this one!

As someone who only listens to full albums, this app is a necessity. It has a super easy album selection feature in case you grow tired of an album. That being said, I began running into issues after upgrading to iOS7. The album skip button sometimes only changes songs, it turns into a shuffle within an album, or it doesn't complete the playlist. Until Apple brings album shuffling back, app developers will have an audience, and this app is the best at providing a seamless browsing experience. I dabbled with the others and this one is clearly better. I do keep my albums properly sorted and organized. Show more

I like the display and the ability to play albums, but watching it reload everytime you start the app gets frustrating - if that issue were fixed it would be 5 stars for sure Show more

Simple, slick, and does what the description says. Suggest it offer a way to play the selected albums in order, without shuffle, as well.

It shuffles albums like it says but it is really slow to load album information. And even after it loads the album info and I switch to another app and then come back to it, it has to reload again. Highly frustrating. Show more

I really hate that Apple eliminated album shuffle. I was excited to try this, especially with AirTunes support. But, this app doesn't load on my iPad 2 running iOS 5. I have restarted iPad, deleted and reinstalled the app and get the same results every time. Please fix this! Show more

Downloaded this App because it had great reviews. Well I wouldn't know, because the App opens and then quits on me. I've restarted my device several times. I've even gone to the support page, but there's no support offered, and no place to report a problem. Unfortunately I have to give you a star, so you only get one until the bug is fixed. Show more
