This is an app I would have paid for. I was so disappointed that I couldn't shuffle albums on my Touch. Thanks for bringing this feature back. I love it!

It saved my iPhone music life.

This app gets 3 stars just for giving me shuffle by album back, which I have missed since I got my first iPhone 3 years ago. However it would be great if you could browse albums by artist and not just title, as well as shuffle playlists. As others said, it would also be nice if the app kept your place better. I would gladly play $1 or $2 if this app was a little more fully featured. UPDATED: this app needs to be updated to work with iTunes match. It shows me all music in the cloud and not just what I have stored on my phone. :( Show more

Something happened after I installed iOS 5. My album covers are no longer discplayed. Other than that, it works fine.

One of my favorite apps. Like another recent review said, though, after I updated to iOS5, almost all the album artwork is missing. The artwork is there when playing songs regularly outside of the app. Show more

Classical multi-movement pieces, concept albums, structured albums - this app allows me to use shuffle the way I want to. To me the album is the unit, not the song. Sure it can be funny when iTunes jumps from a Brahms gesange to "Close to the Edge" to a snippet from some band rehearsal to... you get the picture. A bit funny, but no way to appreciate music. You can stick within a playlist, say Classical, but more often than not it's still ridiculous or worse, jumping around like that. If you feel that way too, download this great app. Easy to use. Could probably use another function or two (others have mentioned shuffling albums from within playlists, I agree wholeheartedly). Open this app, set it up and start it playing. After that you can even close it and the music keeps playing; in fact you can use iTunes for viewing and playing from thereon because the entire shuffled playlist (keeping albums in order) has already been pushed to iTunes. Great idea. I agree with others that future versions need a function for playing whole albums from playlists, because as it is you have to go through and check the albums you want included if you don't want them all (and if you have a library like mine that is rather time consuming). Still, this app is so good already, and fills such a personal need, I give an unqualified 5 stars. Show more

For free this is 5-stars. I think it's missing one feature though. * Playlist support: shuffle a playlist by album. It takes too much time to check and uncheck albums. Adding playlists would fix this. Show more

I can't understand why Apple removed this feature and still hasn't restored it since 2007. This app is nice if all you want to do is select albums and shuffle them, but you can't select a playlist and have it shuffle the playlist, but play entire albums when it comes to them, which you could do with the Shuffle By Album feature I had on my old iPod. Developer, please add this feature, or better still, bring back Shuffle By Album, Apple! Show more
