I listen while I'm out walking. The annoying "thank you for ...." Pops in every time there is a break in the connection. It's better but the connection is so slow to complete even before I leave my home wifi. Very annoying. Show more

I’d had the same problem with the broadcasting being cut off or too many station announcement popped up way too often to disrupt the broadcasting. I had contacted WVXU tech person to correct this problem. It got better for a while, but the problem did come back. So, now I totally gave up on to listen to NPR through WVXU, but am listening now through NPR web page which is so much better than WVXU’s. Show more

So happy that I can keep up with what's happening locally as well as across the world, not to mention all of the interesting shows. So glad I downloaded it!!!

But the app is finicky, as others can attest. I also use the KQED and BBC apps, and they stream much more consistently. It seems they use less data somehow? WVXU is one of the best NPR stations in the country, so I WOULD appreciate better tech in the app! Show more

When I stop or pause the stream, then try to turn it back on, it will very often not reconnect.

I had deleted a previous version of the app because it kept cutting out, and I had gone to just listening through the mobile site. I decided to give the app another chance, and so far it’s working well. Show more

I love this app! Always listen everyday!!

I never have a problem during my travels throughout the u.s. and it keeps me updated on both my hometown and national news. Being able to get jazz 24-7 is the biggest plus to me. Show more

This app stream constantly cuts out when I’m listening. Sometimes the stream will resume on it’s own or it may not. Sometimes it resumes and loops so it sounds like a broken record. I’ve tried may things from deleting app and reinstalling it, and I’ve contacted WVXU (absolutely NOT helpful). Now, I mostly open a different NPR station app Chicago WBEZ and NEVER have a problem with it. I wish I could stream my local NPR station, especially since I’m a sustaining member. Show more

The radio stream cuts out a lot. Please fix that.

I don’t require much, but it does what it says it does and now I have my NPR with me. I like it!

This app should not be available until it can properly perform its most basic function: streaming audio. Every few minutes it jumps a few seconds and less often stops altogether.

I enjoy being able to listen live on the app but have to say that doing so is a bit finicky. It cuts in and out with some regularity. As far as reading goes, I don’t do a lot of it on the app. The articles are really busy looking on the main page. Show more

I don’t want to see all the recorded shows first. And all those icons, of the selection of shows, are distracting. I agree with another reviewer, the app cuts out quite a lot more than I would expect for this point in technology. Show more

I enjoy NPR/WVXU but this app cuts out far to often. At first I thought it was my iPhone, so I got a new one and it still happened. Then I thought it was my cell provider, so I got Verizon and it still happened. I thought maybe I should just use it with WiFi, so I did and it still cut out. Sometimes it happens so often I just close the app. I don’t have this problem with other public radio apps. Show more

After moving outside the US, WVXU app is an easy and reliable way to get NPR. ... and to chuckle about Cincinnati weather & traffic

Love this station!

Cincinnati Public Radio has a great station going here. It's the way radio ought to be heard. And it's available worldwide now through the app!
