I don’t know what all these negative reviews are about. I have owned this app for quite awhile I have everything it offers. It looks great sounds great. Love all the extra packages. Only problem is I usually have to unplug my interface from my iPad and then plug it right back in for it to work. I don’t no why but if this helps anyone. Unplug and plug back in from the lightning connector. Also too long in between any updates new sounds for iOS and such. I have both AmpliTube 5 and 4 on my Mac. Also irig keys the irig pads micro monitors the irig 1 irig 2 irig hd irig pro duo 1 st one and the I loud speaker which I LOVE and the I klip stand and adapters. Love it all. I use my iPad more a lot more Otherwise great job. Show more

I was a 15 yr. customer of Vox, using the ToneLab SE as my main pedalboard. When I play live in my cover band (Unvanquished), I heavily utilize effects switching and volume pedal control for effects level fades. I found that AmpliTube, along with the IO foot controller, performed this function with improvements over Vox by facilitating multi parameter simultaneous controls. The second plus with AmpliTube is the modeling offerings - very realistic Amps, pedals, cabinets as well as mic and mic placement options to really dial in the tone. This is where the plus stops and the minus begins. For starters the product has a steep learning curve - it could be construed as a “me” issue. Next, frequent crashing/reboot of my iPhone (XS) and iPad Pro (5th gen) (not a device issue then, but a SW one, right?); output sound gone after disconnect/reconnect hardware, forcing reboot; flanger effect not saving in the patch in the “on” position (a bug they were unaware of until I sent a video of it occurring); unable to move saved patches between devices (even though their site and customer service says it’s possible, after months of frustration emailing back and forth they eventually admit it’s not possible!); no community hub to share patches between users. I have been willing to look past all these things mentioned above and work around issues spending hours manually matching patches between devices, putting my device in airplane mode fwhich seemed to cut down on crashing), to continue to use this product because as I said above, they offer some great sounds. The final nail in the coffin, however, was upgrading my devices to iOS 15 (not beta, but the official roll-out), only to find AmpliTube CS will not launch until IKMedia upgrades there software. How did your team not know this release was coming?? This drives home the point to me that IK Media is ill equipped to meet the needs of their customers on so many levels and their only concern is $$$. Bias 2 FX is working after the iOS upgrade, works with my IK IO Board, allows patch setting transfers via Dropbox (all figured out within an hour), and gives a 14-day free trial for me to decide if it’s truly a good fit. As my email to IK Media stated, “Your software is not reliable enough to compete with the marketplace, which is unfortunate since there are some really strong points with tone and functionally, when functioning..” ✌️ ? Crash every time I open the app

I bought the irig hd2. But I can't use it since I simple can't start the app.

I am at a loss for words. Are you people serious about what you are doing. I am about to throw my phone across the room. It is so temperamental. Nothing intuitive or makes sense. Nevermind having to pay for every mediocre sound you have. Terrible experience. I want my night back. And my $100+ dollars!!! Show more

Not sure why my iPad works but not the app on my iPhone 12

i got a bass for my birthday but i hate using amps because they, especially with basses, can shake the ground and are really loud, and since im autistic, i cant deal with loud noise. my father introduced me to this app though, and it works great! I just wish you were able to close out of the app and still be able to play since im new to bass, i still have to look at online sheet music for the songs i want to play; i cant really do that if every time i close out of the app, the amp shuts off. Besides that nit picky little thing, this is an amazing app and i love it dearly! Show more

Many years ago I bought a version of this ap for $10 that had a great 4 trac recorder. Over time the features that were included with original purchase were taken away and required a charge. I eventually deleted this ap because it became unusable. It would be nice if it would once again be possible to buy the recorder without all of the unneeded extra stuff that is ridiculously expensive that I’ll never use. Show more

With the purchase of the irig hd 2 , you don’t get anything with AmpliTube. 10- 50$ per “amp” pack? And you get none of them? What a waste of money. I feel severely ripped off. Worse than when I bought the spark. Show more

The app is actually really quite nice. The problem is they have let the marketing team go wild with the thing. Every time you open it it tries to sell you something before you can even use it. Every time you look at it it tries to sell you something.... And there is no way to turn this marketing stuff off. I would give this puppy for five stars if only it weren’t such as spam fest. I’ve been using This AmpliTube app for sometime now and it work well on my iPhone 6s but I am disappointed because it will not work for my iPhone 11. I got the adapter to connect into the iPhone lightning jack but it will not work. I’m disappointed with Ik multi media for false advertising it’s compatibility with the new iPhones and IPads and I’m disappointed with apple for taking out the headphone jack. Show more

I became the proud father of an iRig Pro I/O for audio and MIDI just the other day. This is going to be used in iOS, which limits features internally; but still, this is a way for me to write music and lyrics within the available recording et al and share it with my cousin Mike B., as he and I both have the same iRigs... as the title above sez, I’ll keep you posted. The app itself is fine. My complaint is more about the lack of information that should be displayed in big bold RED font that purchases do NOT transfer across devices or platforms!! This is the worst possible thing to find out after the fact. When you invest some money in an app, and its available across multiple OS, isn’t it natural for the user to expect that those purchases are available across devices and platforms? Why would someone have to go through FAQ before making purchase? Show more

So for some reason the app always has a spring reverb going even with nothing on. The DI is fine, but then no matter what amp, with no pedals or anything...instant reverb constantly. It’s so annoying and I’ve gone back to using my bias software. Wouldn’t mind toying with this if it worked properly Show more
