    Not really well
The feedback noise it’s terrible, don’t pay for the “full” version, try to play metal with this, not really well

Satriani Collection doesn’t output in stereo
I got this exclusively to use the Boston 100 modeler, which has a stereo chorus and echo output on the PC version (faithful to the real Rockman on which it’s based). However, the iOS version does not do stereo output from the effect itself. Complete waste of money. Show more

    Cant switch inputs on interface
im able to use my scarlett solo on garageband because you can switch to input 2 on the interface since input 1 is strictly XLR. cannot do the same on amplitube. Show more

If I had only known how aggravated I would become!
Received my Irig HD2 today. Setup on my iPad was okay, but have been unable to unlock the “FULL” version. I have entered my Serial number at least 20 times but to no avail. Went to install on my Windows 10 pc and it wouldn’t download AmpliTube due to “Setup was unable to create the directory C:usersShopDocumentsIK Multimedia” along with others in the same vein. After several hours of this along with pop ups wanting more of my funds I have said to hell with this. I was just hoping to record some of my guitars and songs and have some fun with this. There is no “FUNl”. Tech support is sadly disappointing. After going online to request technical assistance and filling out their form I was greeted by the following: Error - Please check your fields and resubmit: Invalid characters used in Message field. They don’t make it easy. No success. Maybe later. Prepare to be aggravated. I’m thinking about finding an old reel to reel after this. Show more

    Was hoping for more
Purchased an iRig Nano and had hoped it at least would have unlocked plain version of Amplitube. Said on back of card “Get enhanced app features” and nothing. What’s included is useful once you find volume balance. Show more

    Ignore bad reviews
Never mind the griping. This is the future of practice amplification. Where on earth are you gonna find an amp collection anywhere near as cool as amplitube? I think it sounds I little warmer and richer than positive grid products. I will say that I like the pedal selection and a lot of the functionality of bias fix 2. Too bad for competition... we’ve yet to really get a masterpiece of an app... but this concept is really growing... hardware is starting to develop. I’m grabbing an ik amp with the interface... gone are the days of underwhelming practice amps. Show more

    Lame, bad integration
So I’ve owned several IK products over the years. I just got a Duo Pro and registered it in my laptop. Then connected it to my iPad and tried to open my account to get the free software. Account not recognized! This is a familiar problem with IK: the one hand known now what the other is doing. And Amplitude CS is beyond lame: only works in portrait mode, as if the iPad were some kinda phone! I’m glad there are better alternatives for guitar amps and FX on iPad or I’d be returning this unit. As it is, there is no way I’m going to pay twice for Amplitude, as I bought it once but it won’t restore (because my account is not recognized on iPad even though it is via web browser) and, anyway, it is supposed to be free with purchase of the Duo. Hardware: decent; software: sucky. Show more

    AmpliTube iPad
It’s cool through headphones but I can’t figure out how to play through speakers like Bluetooth or anything and it doesn’t sound the same plugged into my amps

    Latency is ridiculous
Even on a brand new iPad Air with an A12 processor and 4gb of ram/256 gb HD. Almost 20 milliseconds of latency with their own iRig Duo. Unusable in my opinion. Waste of money. Show more

    Free Essentials bundle with hardware...?
Purchased iStomp I/o, registered app, logged in, registered serial #, and am still having trouble getting the free content I’m entitled to after purchase of the $300 hardware. It’s not rocket science, but there’s no clear cut way to download it. After logging in and registering, still asking for payment for the essentials bundle. Show more

Annoying In app ad pop ups
I paid $300 for hardware that only works with this software. For the most part, the software works well. HOWEVER, the in app pop up ads come on EVERY SINGLE TIME i open the app. I can’t do anything until i close out of the pop up. Clicking on the pop up only makes it disappear for a second and then reappear. Its only when i click the teeny tiny s button that it goes away until the next time i open up the app. Ive talked with support team and there is no solution. This is how its supposed to work. Ridiculous. Never ever stops..... Show more

    The hate isn’t justified
I started out with just the free version but quickly upgraded to the essentials pack (basically paying in full for the app via the other one in the store) once I realized the capabilities of what I could achieve for a fraction of the price and in a mobile form (via my iPad). The ability to bring my instruments and iPad with me for practicing with limited space more than made everything worth it. My only issue is I can get some feedback at times, but with some fine tuning and tinkering you can find the sweet spot. All in all a good product with a few money making ideas (which I feel are justified) for the quick use and portability. Show more

    Dime Bag
I wish the Roland amp Chorus depth & rate would work like they do in vibrato. Thanks, Michael

Worked well for a while but is now unreliable
Had used in 2015/16 a lot with no issue but now the app crashes too often and isn’t useable

    It’s a cool app
Besides the the app not working from time to time like now it’s cool...

Lost days and plenty of money on this. Sounds produced are 4/5. Several frustrations.
Gear purchased: iRig HD pro duo and iPad charging cord. Slash bundle. First, the charging cable claims it charges your iOS device but the advertising is accurate though misleading. Does not charge the interface. Need batteries or 500 mA power supply that you can’t get from IK Multimedia. Power supply for daisy chaining a pedalboard will suffice. Then you need to update firmware before the cable will power/charge iPad. I attempted on my Mac OS Mojave. Nothing. Then tried on PC Win 7 SP 1. Now the hardware is functional IF the Apple iOS device is plugged in LAST(very important). Gear comes with various entry line programs for Win/PC that all will request payment to make them anything close to garage band-like functionality. The bundle was not same as advertised, but AmpliTube can be used in garage band, so start there. Tones are solid 4/5, but you can do yourself a huge favor and get full version of PRotools 10 and 11 bundled with elevenrack, which will run about $600. If you unlock everything in amplitube’s bundle to “pro/HD/Ultimate” levels, you will pay waaay more than $1000, I think the DAW is $800 alone). Things to know about my suggestion is that PT 10/11 can be co-installed, older plugin support has been eliminated with advent of subscription Pro Tools. PT 11 stops compatibility at win7 SP1 and ?? Mac snow leopard or mountain lion?? The hardware for this is plastic and is not going to stand up to a tour circuit, but works fine to pack in a backpack. Elevenrack is heavy and rack mountable. Other similar product called eleven free in PT 10.3.7 and PT no longer supports many of the old bundled plugins that came bundled in 2011. I suggest skip the mobile setup and go real deal. We spend huge chunks of cash on hardware to sound good. This app can help you, but I just can’t trust the hardware to stand up to the test of time. Won’t replace it when it breaks, but can still use Amplitube in Garage band. Go that route if looking for portability. Hardware > $200 should have steel housing if the software is going to be priced this high. IK should be very forthcoming on the charging cable, MIDI cables should not have ~18” headphone plugs that hook to the interface, and this is good software executed very poorly by available hardware. Also note iPhone and iMac are one purchase. IPad is pay a second license. What baffles me is how IK chose to completely screw up a great app by executing its usability so poorly. You will spend over a day making all of this “portable solution” work. And don’t forget to buy a daisy chain power supply cable for a guitar pedalboard if you want to avoid the 2 AA batteries that people talk about replacing every 20 minutes. Good luck to both buyer and seller. Cust. Service did contact me via email after 2-3 days. Show more

    It's fine.
Is fine. It does what you need. A bummer I wasted my free upgrade to the "essentials bundle" when I got my iRig 2 HD. It gave me more tones, but you still have to drop another $20 to get all 8 tracks to record on. I mean, 2 tracks? This isn't the 50s. But there are good ipad multitrack apps. Get a dedicated ipad DAW and use that. Then you have the best of both worlds. Show more
