    a stunning app
Brilliantly beautiful to eye and ear. And the tech support is also great. We discovered together that you have to keep the notification and system button on (formerly the screen rotation lock) or you won't get any sound. (Aeolian Harp is different in this respect from other music apps like Bloom.) Aeolian Harp will provide hours of enchantment. Show more

    Nice idea...
...but really needs a way to adjust lower left and lower right levels as the are banked extreme lower left and lower right. Ear fatigue comes pretty quickly. The smoke, or whatever it's supposed to be, gets old fast and would prefer an option for just the strings to stay lit. The sounds are nice and touch is very responsive. I run mine through a Lexicon MPX 1. Show more

    This is FUN!
This is not fir pedantic control freaks. This is for playing like a child with the elements of nature. The more open-hearted you are, the more you'll enjoy this remarkable instrument. Again, it is not a mind/ego tool. It is finger painting with music by your heart/soul. Show more

    Aeolian Harp
Great app! I hope to see more music applications like this one. This is an example of how the iPad could really take off as a unique musical instrument. The sounds are spot on, and the motion sensitivity is a great touch. I also like the simple menu. In general, a very smart, well-designed program. Show more

    Evocative
A wonderful example of how a new medium can give rise to new ways to make music. Right away it gives you pleasing visuals and sounds. But, if you play a music instrument, you know that you have to practice to get better. The longer you spend improvising with this program, the more interesting the results. Like any musical instrument, it has limitations and possibilities which reveal themselves only over the passage of time. Many thanks to the creators of this app for a truly imaginative addition to the world of music. Show more

    Pretty cool....
I Liked it ok.... But I don't think it is worth $2. I spent 30 min. when I fist got it, but quickly got bored.

    It's worth it...
I was reluctant to buy this app because of some of the poorer reviews, but I took the risk, and it totally paid off! There are a few bits and things that could be improved, but mostly all I can say is WOW!!!! I'm impressed...... Show more

    Well...
I don't know what some other people were expecting, but I love this app. The different visual styles are fun, especially in combination with playing music in a variety of fun ways. Certainly worth the money. ^_^ Show more

    Boring
    Nothing special. A waste of a $1.99.

    What Is Its Purpose?
I've tried this app several times and I'm still wondering what its purpose is. The instructions need to do a much better job of explaining what the purpose is, and how to make use of it. Is it a "music" generator? Is the purpose to create designs? Is there a way to repeat or store and replay the "music" sounds created? If I understood it, I might give it a higher rating. Perhaps I've got a mental block because I was expecting it to be a "music" generator like the Bloom app with which I'm familiar. Show more

    Terrible
Wow. For a music program, this is horrible. It's also a game?? Visualizations are good but this is completely useless if you wanted to make music of any kind. Waste of money. Show more

WOW! This is one ELEGANT App!!
This app is WAY under the radar. I was hesitant to purchase as there's not many reviews BUT took a chance and WOW!! I mean, this really is a remarkable application. I already own a number of music & particle apps for iPad and have been pretty underwhelmed but THIS ... this truly stands apart. To begin with ... it's visually stunning. You can easily save any and all creations. Beyond that though... it's the way it looks... from the instant you touch it, there's an elegance about it that very artistic. Clearly, a lot of careful thought and design went into this app. Beyond that is the way it sounds (and the different instruments built in). I'm not a musician but even I can create something nice with this - in seconds. Then there's the scales: 10 of them - Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Major Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic, the list goes on! Sounded really good through the iPad's speaker... so good, I nearly forgot to plugin my headphones (Audio Technica ATH-AD700). Took it to a whole new level. Far more than "just a harp"... it can instantly become a Sitar, Marimba, or Guitar too! Relaxing to play with, visually mind blowing. This app is absolutely a 5 Star app. Well worth the price. Don't hesitate... Show more

    Good concept
Years ago I constructed a real aeolian harp and I was curious if this app could have something todo with it. I may say, yes, in some way. The concept and the graphics are intuitive and inspiring. The sounds are also good (I was afraid about that) but too dry. I am missing lots of harmonics there because this is what an aeolian harp is all about ! I would suggest some more control about the sounds and some interesting spacy effects to match those really spacy graphics and filters to bring out harmonics. To be able to choose a scale, tonality or even atonality would help also a lot. I hope you can work on an update for that. Show more

    I like it...
I'm still getting to know this app, but felt compelled to write up a quick review. I like the potential of what is here so far...a very "zen" way to play with and listen to music, unlike any other music app I've used so far, and I have quite a few! The visuals are VERY impressive and compliment the music nicely, and so far I have found it easy to use. So far, I feel I am getting my money's worth, and I look forward to spending much more time with the app to get to know it better. I certainly recommend getting it if you are into having fun with making your own music! Show more
