KDFC gives me sever choices daily. I can listen the radio to your wonderful selection. At home I can choose from several options, depending upon my mood. Movie stream reminds me many of favorite movies, and essential role music plays in bringing the story to life. This Christmas your 24 hrs of Christmas is an antidote to commercialism that has hijacked this sacred Advent season. I’ve share it with friends/family all over the country. Show more

I found a radio station many years ago which played classical music and I was delighted . It was KKHI. Not long after I found it they announced they were going off the air. I’m not sure how KDFC came about. Probably same spot on the dial It was 25-30 years ago. I’m not even sure they were listener supported in the beginning Bill Leuth was one of first announcers. Then came others such as Diane Nicolinni, Hoyt Smith and others. It is the only radio station I listen to It has brought me much joy through the years The folks are so informative yet so pleasant to listen to. When I was younger and lived in the Bay Area we went to several of the events they sponsored I remember such events as an evening at the Garden Court of the Palace Hotel, an event at Grace Cathedral. Others I’m sure. Then I became a Sustaining Member and couldn’t be prouder to be part of the folks who have brought such beautiful music to others Thank you KDFC Linda Dreblow Show more

KDFC plays a beautiful selection of classical music and has other NPR shows as well as broadcasts live performances of opera or classical music. The app shows what’s playing and has a very pleasant interface to other features and areas of the KDFC website. Show more

Every day I am learning fascinating and important tidbits about the classical music I have learned to love. My early music education with Sister Mary Amie was steeped in the classics which I found laborious and dull. I much preferred evangelical church music and show tunes. Then a life crisis at age 40 drew me back to the beauty of the classical masters. KDFC is a constant in my days. Not only the bountiful selections and the fascinating streams, but the hosts themselves brighten my routines. I especially love listening to Maggie in the mornings. Her vast musicology background coupled with her divine sense of humor and clever repartee give me a wonderful jump-start to my day. Became interested in classical music when I was in my late 20’s living in SF. There was no KDFC then, but later when I moved to Sonoma county from Las Vegas, I discovered KDFC. That was 35 years ago. Listen to it every day, while in the hot tub, bathtub, preparing meals, gardening, watching the sunset,etc. Thank you so very much for this precious gift. Show more

The app, at times, stops streaming after a few minutes. It happens on Wi-Fi and cellular connection. Not sure if it’s the app or my connection, but this app is the only one with which I have the issue. Thank you for continuing to improve the app over the years! Show more
