    How to Manage Your Day!
First thing we do when we get up is turn on KDFC, with Maggie and get our Mystery in World History. We have found that the one time in the past we would like to go back to, would be 1885. All sorts of interesting things happened in that year! We listen all day, and sometimes do a stream. But we find KDFC keeps us mellow and in a good mood when we listen all day. AND, we always bring it with us on our travels. Show more

    The Whole Nine Yards!
It is very rare to find a musical producer who has the knowledge, the interest and the resolve to program “top of the class’ work. I have supported this station and will continue to do so, because they have what it takes to be that “top of the class” player. Their various streams demonstrate every day, that they are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to go “The Whole Nine Yards” in delivering the best of the classical music world. Show more

    Great Music. Too much talk
We listen to you at home snd in the car snd on your app when we are away. We love the music and SOME of the commentary but not all the chatter. We REALLY do not like the pledge times because we give monthly and do not need reminding. Show more

Love it. Listen regularly from the Lake Tahoe area, both the live stream and the special streams.

    Love this channel
Nothing much to say. Am still able to listen to my favorite radio station even when I’m halfway across the world.

    Where Are The Voices?
All of music is either SONATA or CANTATA (sounded or sung). My big complaint about KDFC is that you play so little vocal music! And so little modern and contemporary music. Show more

    Long time listener
I came to California from Connecticut in 1958 to attend Stanford. I had grown up with classical music; and had the opportunity to attend concerts conducted by Toscanini. Had dim hopes of finding stations like WNYC, WQXR, and the New England Concert network. What a pleasant surprise to find KIBE/KDFC. Have listened ever since— now on line. Have to bite my tongue and say I appreciate KUSC supporting you—LOL. Show more

    Perfect Study Buddy
I have listened to KDFC ever since I was a little girl. I grew up on it, and I still love it! It’s perfect for studying or working to. Whether I’m working on my Algebra homework or outlining an Affirmative Constructive, KDFC is the perfect thing to put on. Show more

    Important part of my day
KDFC makes my day - especially at the start and it’s end - so much better. KDFC is what radio should be.

    KDFC From Monterey
Love this member station and pretty much have it on from morning to evening. Sometimes reception is scratchy which can be disturbing while listening to an especially loved piece. Also wish we could hear a complete piece more often rather than just a movement. I especially appreciate Sunday morning choral music and would love to hear that more often. Also like that more “contemporary” classical is heard. I see that as a way to introduce the genre to this who might not realize the beauty and tradition of classical. Feel so fortunate to have access to this station! Keep up the good work! Love to all who make it possible. ? Show more

    Wave forever
Ever since Ray White you have helped keep me sane. I suspect it’s that way for many multitudes of us. I hope we can stand by you financially as you have sent healing soundwaves our way for so long. You even are there when we travel. Sanity!!! Thank you. Show more

And Lara is the icing on the wonderful cake.
We have been listening for some years and truly enjoy the staff and programming at KDFC. Then they were able to add Lara who brings the perspective of an accomplished artist along with her ability to easily explain the some values to her selections that most layman could not previously think of. Thank you to KDFC and staff for their willingness to further expand our window on the classics. Michael and Margie Show more

Easy access to classical music from anywhere
Classical music has always been an important part of my life. I kept my radio permanently tuned to KDFC during the years I lived in the Bay Area... now that I live on the other side of the world, I’m so happy there is such an easy way to keep listening! I love that the app is very simple as well, no fuss getting in the way of the music (and thank you for including a sleep timer so I can use The Great Escape playlist to help me fall asleep at night!) Once-upon-a-time aspiring pianist
As a toddler my first beloved album of my own was the Richard Rogers score of Victory at sea. Later supplanted by Grofe Grand Canyon. My interest spread widely later through baroque, classical and romantic eras., even heavy metal rock. As a result of a contentious divorce of my patents when I was still pre-teen the asset division separated me from the piano and prolonged stress probably contributed to abandoning the dream even though passionate consumption remained. A substantial talent in STEM fields ultimate lead me to satisfying career teaching medical physiology and research. I married late, but I made sure that my daughters, now 25 and 19 had opportunity to learn music or any other calling. They both chose piano at a rewarding recreational level, are loving and mentally razor sharp, and ALSO are developing careers in biomedical sciences/ medical science. They are my life’s major achievement. I stumbled upon KDFC some years ago and its sounds filled via internet my office for years, and now my home. Filled with beloved favorites, previously unknown works by favorite composers, and some works that challenge me to accept other genres. Whenever my conversation turns to how to find good music, KDFC LEADS the parade, along with a few similar institutions around the world. It is vanishingly rare to assemble a group of people who so well preserve and nourish new growth in musical arts. Brava and Bravo a thousnd times. Show more
