I found the capo feature isn’t working. For example, an open position D major shape should not have the same notes as when in front of a capo at the second fret (or anywhere else), yet that is exactly what it currently shows in-app. Disappointing but hopefully easy for the developers to correct soon. I hate reviews and I gave this was way above 5 stars.

I switched from piano to fingerstyle guitar as my main instrument a few years ago. I could always figure out what chord I was playing on piano, but on guitar, often I have no clue what I am doing. Now I know how to notate some of the stranger chords! I especially like that you can do this with different tunings like Drop-D! Five stars all the way!! Show more

This is a good app - simple, accurate. What it really needs is MIDI support - it shouldn’t be difficult to enter chord data by MIDI keyboard controller, and see the result instantly on screen. :/ Show more

Finally something that allows me to find chords when I am trying out different tunings. 100% worth paying for.

I don’t think it was smart to try to make the piano come with a paid version.. I will no longer use the app and I’ll go to a free one. It’s not worth it anymore. Used to not be that way. Show more

This app is a SLAM DUNK !

I believe this is the first time I've ever been drawn to write a second review, but I have to do it: I love this app like a new puppy, or an unexpected vacation, or a run on a sunny day. If you are an aspiring musician, how can you not have this app? This afternoon I'm tackling a tough piece of piano music, and I'm seeing its chord structure (in the left hand) easily and with clarity, thanks to this nifty little app. I used to have to leaf through a heavy book. But now I can learn much faster and with much less hassle. If I could save only two of my apps from a burning computer, this is one of the two I'd lasso and pull to safety. And no, I don't work for the company. I merely love the company's delightful product. It's making me stronger every time I learn from it. Show more

This is super easy to use with my ukulele. I really like that it offers three choices for names of chords. This is especially helpful when playing with other instrumentalists as uke chords are frequently incomplete. Show more

It is what the name says-figure out what a chord is simply by putting the notes in. Any tuning, any number of notes. Great musician tool and fun to use to learn the fret board and chord structures. Show more

This app has been one of my most favorite and shared apps I’ve ever bought and that’s not hyperbole. I should’ve wrote a review much sooner but I’m going to write one now.I do so many weird cords and voicing this really helps me to quickly jot them down and put them in a pattern to make sure it’s something I want before recording. Works as advertised - multiple instruments can be set up since you can set number of strings - really, really great!
