This is a waste of money. It does nothing that pen and paper can't do. The thesaurus and dictionary don't work.

App is well intentioned but very cumbersome to use. Right now it would be easier to use pen and paper.

This app is great. It helps me express myself. There are some bugs though. Every time I go into the app part of my song is deleted. Also when I have done my audio, it crashed every time. If I sync the song another part will be deleted again so I have to take snapshots to remember what I wrote. It really need to be fixed. Show more

Needs improvements. Dante, the support guy is jerk and needs a new line of work. Also seems very disinterested in helping anyone fix anything, and expects you to be an expert on this app the moment you open it. I've lost a ton of songs and ideas from this app. Show more

All the ideas and nuanced functions are great and this would be a perfect app if it worked the way the designers intended. I was writing in the "custom" block I titled "bars"; then tried to switch to/add a chorus block and my keyboard disappeared and was inoperable. When you create lyrics in the "freestyle mode," you can't then incorporate your freestyles into the structured "song block mode" ...umm why not?! Fix the bugs and allow freestyles to be made into songs and this app quite possibly could be perfect. Show more

Used to work fine I'll be adding words and phrases to my idea board and then after 20 minutes of searching boom crashes I go back and same thing happens so there goes half your app... Let me break the rest ... I'll be writing in the lyric blocks were I write the lyrics .. After around 10-30 minutes it will crash no warning no cause from myself. There goes that.. And then this app used to work almost spot on then I don't know when but It just broke .. So many bugs.. Delete off App Store don't waste anyone's time. Show more

Please update quality for iPhone 6+!!

This app started off great for me. But recently it feels like I'm going to have to find something else. I lost all of my recordings and it is very frustrating. There were times too, where I tried to contact someone about password and username problems. I've lost a lot of songs and recordings with this app. Show more

I have had this app since it came out and there have always been issues. I have attempted to contact them multiple times and have never, not once received a response. The app has great potential, I have it on my MacBook, iPad and iPhone in hopes that one day it would all work the way it should. Update after update leads to more frustration. One thing gets fixed and two more are broken. I too have lost lyrics, I've never synced my Mac because it won't allow me to and now my iPhone keeps telling me I need an internet connection. I suppose they got my money and that's all they cared about. With unreliable function and no customer service I guess I'm moving on and you should probably pass on this one as well. Show more

I've been writing songs professionally for a very very long time & I've been lucky enough to have had quite a few of my songs recorded & released by a handful of major artists. I only say this to hopefully bring a little credibility to "Dante Moore's" very hardworking app, "Songwriter's Pad! This app is extremely easy to learn and even easier to maneuver around. It is great for storing your songs & keeping track of your co-writers & dates of creation. I've been using Songwriter's Pad since its conception & all along the way thru all it's growing pains the creators have listened to every suggestion I've offered & they've worked hard to bring it up to the level a professional songwriter needs to carve out a great song. I highly recommend this app to any beginning, intermediate or professional songwriter regardless of what level they are at! I would say with all honesty that there is no other songwriter app out there that can even compare to "Dante Moore's" Songwriter's Pad for IPad, IPhone or desktop. Show more

Adding audiocopy export for the recorded tracks would be the touch this piece of art needs!

Read this before spending your ???. I was just about to shell out more for the ipad version and desktop. The app clearly states under "other features" that you can change font style and size. I see no option for this, the stock font size and style is to thin and small. Also this app needs the ability of audio copy/audiopaste. I receive my tracks by email and need the ability to "open in" into this app so i can listen, write, and record my ideas on the fly. When you do import tracks you can't even rewind/fast forward the tracks. Wow❗️ Add these two features, fix the recording/playback (loop fuction for a particular section would be nice too) issues and i will gladly give 5 stars and recommend this app until then ???I'm better of playing my music in the background and using the notes app Show more

Everytime i go to write a song if i dont press done it doesnt save. (Should change that) it freezes and exit out the app completely once again not saving any progress that may have been done. Ive put in money to help the App so i expect to get what i paid for. Besides the bugs the app is Amazing! I just hope theres an update to fix the bugs. Thanks Show more

It works well for me. I just wish songs would auto sync instead of manually pushing.

Crashes regularly, taking any changes you've made with it. Has two sync options, neither one works. Inspiration is fleeting and you need something reliable to capture it. This is not the tool for that job. Avoid. Show more

I like the idea. The rhyme dictionary is pretty good. The interface could be improved: scrolling and rearranging sections is difficult and sticky. Needs an auto-scroll feature that would scroll the lyrics. I'd like to set the length of the song, e.g. 3:20, and the app should scroll the lyrics so that the end is reached around that time. That would be especially useful when recording music to lyrics through the app, and in preview mode. The app crashes a lot. Show more

Although I am angry with the sync feature this app is amazing and worth the money. I am very angry with songwriter's pad sync. I made an account and then it asked me what songs I wanted to put on SPS. I didn't really think I needed to put my songs there so I pressed next. When I proceeded to the next place, I was in the menu and all of my songs were deleted. If this is a bug please fix it and if this is on purpose please give further instruction on the backup screen. This app is actually very useable and helpful. I have to say I really like it. I use it for structuring all my songs and they make it quite easy by being able to add blocks and suggesting ideas/rhymes etc. If you're looking for a quick sketch of ideas and songs then fine, use Notes, but after you're done and you want to finalise the song this app is awesome for that. I personally just go straight to it in the app because I like to structure as I go along. It's easy to say this app is frustrating for some because everyone has a different rhythm in the creative process. The app has a recording function so you can attach a voice recording within your song/idea. Yes, of course it has some bugs, the flow of the graphics needs attention and it's crashed on me a couple times on the iPhone only (never on my iPad or Mac however). I love this app and I songwrite for a living so that's saying a lot. Think it's great and would recommend esp on Mac or iPad if you want a good songwriting structure App! Show more
