This use to be a GREAT app! But, with iTunes 12.7.3 it’s totally useless. I’ve read the reviews about the manual process of copying the ringtone from the the Ring Tone Folder and pasting it into the Tone folder - the ringtones copy, but they are all greyed out and will not trnasfer to iPhone. I have contacted the developer and their response was “sometimes the ringtones don’t upload to the iPhone and that I should restart my iPone”. What a joke, I sent them a screen shot of all the greyed out tones and repled to them that restarting my iPhone was not the issue. I also contacted Apple, yes they don’t support 3rd party apps, but I informed them that this app should be removed as it no longer works - don’t waste your money! UPDATE: Well, I just found out that this app still works, but all of the ringtones that I made several years ago (28 total), will not transfer into iTunes manually - they are greyed out and will not work or import to my iPhone. Since I saw some reviews that state this app still works with the manual process I decided to make a new ringtone from the app and use this manual process. Upon the creation of the new ringtone and copying it to iTunes under my iPhone device into the Tone folder I found it copied successfully and it updated to my iPhone 7+…. So while the app works now, I’ve lost all 28 ringtones that I made a few years back (still in the Ring folder - won’t import or work). So, now I have to go back and recreate all of the ringtones that won’t work. Show more

Previous review: Very simple, intuitive. Works just like it should. Easiest way I can imagine to make ringtones. I had a problem with version 2.0. I posted it on the website and within hours v. 2.0.1 was posted with a fix. Maybe lucky timing, but it looked like extraordinary support. Current review: This is mostly in response to reviews saying that it no longer works with iOS11. It isn’t nearly as easy or intuitive as it used to be, but that’s Apple’s doing, and I don’t think there’s a lot the developer can do about it. It does still work. 1. Follow the old instructions for creating your ringtone. 2. Within the app, under the “File” menu, you will see “Show Ringtones in Finder.” That will open a folder where you will see the ringtone you just made. (Along with all the ringtones you’ve made.) 3. Plug in your phone and open iTunes. Do not select your phone. 4. On the left iTunest has a list that should include “Devices” and your phone should be listed there. One of the items listed in your phone is “Tones”. Select that. It will give you a list of your tones. 5. Drag and drop the tone you created in ringer into the list and sync. Tone is now on your phone. Incidentally, you can now ad all those tones you’ve created with Ringer that Apple so kindly deleted, presumably to encourage you to buy new ones. Show more

First of all let me say my issued is not with the Ringer - Ringtone maker but with Apple!! It is shameful that they continue to market this app for the Mac when they know full well that after you buy it and install it you will be unable to use it. Yes, they have removed the ability to save the newly created ringtones to the Tones folder and then install them on your iPhone. With their latest iTunes updates they have removed the Tones folder forcing us to purchase ringtones from them!!! Upon receiving my new iPhone X i could not even transfer my favorite ringtones I had enjoyed using for years to my new phone because of this. So my advice is be fore you waste your money as I did. Stop and make sure you will actually be able to use the tones you createwith this program ! Show more

I bought this app for $7.99, It doesn’t work on my phone. I have an 8+. Really need to provide an update or refund.

The app worked wonderful for iPhone 6. After upgrading to iPhone X it’s a waste of time and money. None of my ringtones transferred, and suddenly everything worth using is locked out and “protected.” These are songs I have purchased and should have the right to use. Please fix the issue and let me have my ringtones back! Show more

Mac Users I found a way around apple not supporting ringotnes anymore. With this app all you have to do is create you another folder and instead of sending your ringtones straight to itunes send it to a particular folder. then go to the folder and drag and drop it into the tones sections while your iphone is plugged up in iTunes. You can do this for all your previous tones also. Great App ?????????????? Show more

Iphone 8 IOS 11.1, Itunes 12.7.1.14. Ringtones do not show up in tones list on computer or phone. Made a bunch of tones they are no where to be found. There is a review that says you can do it manually but no directions and I do not know how. The link to the customer support e-mail does not work. Feeling ripped off, do not waste your money until you are assured these problems have been fixed. Show more

Tried to sync over a song from Apple music but unfortunately the song was locked and wasn’t able to make a ringtone out of it.

Apple should not be selling this app until they fix their issues. Ringtones don’t work. Bought this unforunately not knowing this. It’s appears to be a great app... Show more

Ringtones are not synced with iPhone under iTunes 12 (Apple’s decision, not the fault of the app). If you know how to move ringtones manually to the iPhone while it’s connected to the computer, this app still works. It doesn’t appear that the developer is updating the app regularly. Show more

Are you going to update this to work with iOS 11? Because it surely does not. Please advise; I may need another solution. 5 stars because when it works, IT WORKS! Show more

This is by far the best app I have used to make ring tones from my own music and movie clips. It is very easy to use and makes quick work of creating your own custom ring tones and alerts. Worth every penny. Show more
