I have been using this app for at least 3-4 years. A few weeks ago, I purchased the full version. It is amazing. No complaints.

I loved it when it would work. It is an awesome app, but until it actually puts my Mac to sleep it will have to stay at 2 stars

Does exactly what I want it to do with this latest update. Works like a champ!

I set the timer to automatically wake me up at different times every day, which is useless because it never actually uses the set time, I have to manually put it in. There should also be an option to not have a snooze button. I always wake up to my music and listen to it while I'm getting ready, then pause when I leave. Every time I come home from class there is music blaring again because when I pause my music, it thinks I'm pressing snooze and starts playing again in 10 minutes, after I've already left. Other than these problems, this program is great. I wake up every time it goes off. Fix these problems and I will change my rating to 5 stars. Show more

I fell asleep quite easily within the time I set, and then this morning I woke up during the first song it ended up playing. That never happens! I think I know exactly what I'll be using from now on. Forget my cell phone alarm and my alarm clock. I used to need both of them, and even then I over slept. Great App!!! Show more

You know, i've had an app like this for my iPhone/iPad called SleepMe, and this does the same thing! I love it. Great app!

Works great! It does as described and has worked perfectly for me every time. I just wish that there were an app so I could start it remotely from my iphone. How 'bout it?? Show more

Waking up to a particular playlist is invaluable. This does the trick so long as you also have your computer already awake (e.g: keep computer on or set your computer to wake up, via preferences>energy saver, a minute b4 said alarm). I have not been able to test out the "sleep" function yet. The timer and audio levels seem to work theoretically. I do not have sound playing for the sleep, not sure why. The wakeup works fine.. which is most important to me. It would be cool if separate playlists could be used for sleep and wakeup since I wouldn't listen to the same song to lull me to sleep as i would to start my day. Show more

For those who are putting their computer to sleep and complaining about how it won't wake them up-- the app cannot wake up your computer. It's not its fault. The only other thing I'd like is for it to stay fullscreen when I fall asleep. When the music fades out, it goes immediately back to a small box and the bright light from iTunes wakes me up. Fix that, and it's 5 stars. Show more

This app just did not work for me. No setup instructions available to assist me or anything. The fade in didn't work at all. Everytime I hit play, I would wait, wait, wait, wait, and wait some more. The music would never start. Even when I put no fade in, the music still would not play. I am very disappointed with this application. This purchase was suppose to allow me to get an incredible night sleep to some music, but instead I am left angered, frustrated, and restless. Show more

This app is so smooth and has just the right features to make it my favorite way to wake up. I love how it allows you to play music at a lower volume than your alarm while you sleep. Definately a must-have for people who hate traditional alarms. Thank you! Show more

This is a great app for the price that it is at. The previous app that I used, though free, was much more buggy, and sometimes would just crash depending on the length of the playlist. I've never experienced this app crash on me, and the user interface is very simple, and is great at guiding me through a simple setup to make sure that I have everything good to go. It's hard to not appreciate this App. The only minor problems I get are not even very serious problems, and may even be clarified with a simple explanation. The fade music options somewhat confuse me, as I'm not sure if it fades from the alloted time I told Sleepy Time to play music, or if it adds time to fade. To explain my confusion, I've currently have been setting Sleepy Time to play for 20 minutes, and fade for 5 minutes. If it is supposed to work the way I thought it should, then for 5 of those 20 minutes, the music should be gradually fading down to silence before stopping. This is not the intended result though, as I do not hear the volume fade at all, and I can hear the music end abruptly. The same happens with the alarm, where the music just turns on, rather than fade. Take note that I've tested this when not trying to go to sleep or waking up to make sure of all of this. There's a good chance that I may be setting something wrong, and could just use some clarification on how to use the app correctly, but I felt to point out this very minor confusion. I don't considering it very degrading of the quality of the product at all, and still believe it's a great app, however I would appreciate either some more clearer instructions on using the app to ensure that it is me messing up and not potentially the app itself. This app is not very good. I wanted an alarm clock but this thing forces me to use the "sleep" function. And more importantly, it hasn't woken me up once in 5 days. Instead, when I open the computer later in the day it will simply tell me that it's time to wake up (many hours later!). Can't recommend this app at all. Show more

It's nice to be able to go to sleep and have music fade out. The option to put your computer to sleep is nice too. There needs to be more screen savers for sleepytime and some sort of gradual light for wake up. The program also needs to be able to wake up from sleep and turn on the alarm. I was late to work because I put my computer to sleep and the alarm didn't come on until I manually woke it up. Show more

I was holding on to an older iHome from a few years back because it played my music incrementally. Now this app gives me more flexibility. I simply put the display to sleep (using exposé) and this puts me to sleep and then gradually wakes me up. For one of my term papers in Biology, I did research into sleep cycles, light sleep and REM sleep and harsh alarms are aweful for waking you up. I won't write too much about the research I conducted, but will mention that even if you get enough sleep, waking up to a harsh alarm will ruin the rest of your day. This app allows you to gradually listen to the music. And when your body is between light sleep, you will feel like you woke up naturally and will feel refreshed. Trust me, get this app here. The bonus to getting it on the Mac App Store is that if there is an update, you will get it along with your other apps. However, the author does mention that he has it for free on his website (the guy is crazy...this app is way to great to give away for free!). I would have happily paid 2x or 3x for it. Bravo! All this app needs is when it is supposed to wake you up- it need to be able to turn on your computer because when you tell it to turn off it will, but wont go back on in the morning... Good start though and worth the money! Show more

You no longer have to turn off your music when going to bed, you just drift off to sleep with your music still playing and you can trust that it will quietly turn off by itself shortly after you're asleep. And what better way to be woken up then by your favorite music? With just about every feature you could want from an app like this, and with the price not even making you think twice, this app is perfect. Amazing and brilliant. Show more

im sure thier are kinks i havent found yet, but finaly an alarm that wakes me up gradually. not sure how great the help sleep function is but its the perfect alarm for me at least Show more
