    Useless app ever….BEWARE!!!
Waiting for my money back because you cannot take away some songs that I have already payed for and the annoying part is they will never respond to your email! These guys are not serious! I bought some songs before they started their subscription service and now they want me to subscribe to have full access to what I have already bought. I’ve contacted them at their support page and they’ve not done anything to solve the problem and it will take quite some time before they will even respond to your email....... Complete ripoff! Refund my money money back or give me full access to the songs I’ve already paid for. Show more

About microphone and speed of lessons
I think this app is great, but when I go to today it doesn't even say institution is right or wrong. Then, I think the lessons are going a little too fast and it doesn't say if it's right or wrong. I just think yeah this app could be better. Show more

    Amazing!
Hi I am twelve years old and I have had a guitar since I was six year old. When your that young you really just want one to say you have one. I never picked it up again for about five years until the other day when I got this app and I started my first chord. It’s amazing! I can finally be lay guitar with my dad and sing with my mom without having to play tabs!! Thank you to whoever made this! Show more

Used to be FREE with ads, what happened?
I’ve been using this app inconsistently for many years and at first you could pay for each song you wanted to learn and take your time learning it. I’m a slow learner i have dyslexia. Then they did the amazing change where you could open any lesson for any song for free if you watch an advertisement first. It was awesome I was learning several songs at once and when I would get frustrated from one I could easily switch to the next and then back. But now I need a subscription to open up all the saved lessons I have made progress on. WHY? Even the songs I had initially purchased back when you could pay per song are no longer available to me. Again I ask Why? I’m switching to Rocksmith because a subscription to me is just not worth it. This app was an amazing way to learn guitar but again I’m a slow learner and I can’t afford the subscription. At least Rocksmith let’s you pay per song. Show more

Till u can buy lessons like app use to be , I’d skip this app if I were u.
So back when I first got this app many years back it was pretty awesome . They didnt have a ton of songs and a lot of those songs were in genres I didn’t care for …but that didn’t matter cause I was buying lessons I wanted and ignoring all the others ….. then things started going downhill as the song catalog started growing. At random times (I’m thinking during updates but not sure) some of my purchased lessons would disappear …..but customer service was decent and walked me through trying to restore them ,which I more or less was able to . The problem there was I didn’t keep a list of the songs I purchased and apparently neither did they cause it became a thing for them to verify songs I knew I purchased. So half my fault for not keeping a list and half the companies for not having any books on sales per person , or whatever the reason they couldn’t verify…..I had bought so many lessons at different times that I had pages of lessons within the app..I mean I still do, but I have no idea if some of those purchases I made and never got into learning have disappeared permanently….so after awhile I lost content I purchased, but again customer service was half decent in responding and gave me a year free subscription…. But this time it wasn’t even a question of suggesting ways of restoring purchases …just a quick free year subscription , I assume because there was no way to verify a lesson I know I had purchased ( and used a lot in the past ) and it seems they really gave up on trying to keep track of sales since they were now a subscription only service…. Now even if I’m in the minority in hating the subscription only platform I still don’t understand not having the option to buy individual lessons ….I’m guessing income wasn’t steady or consistent enough so playing on the laziness and hopefulness of guitarists to keep subscriptions even if not using that subscription for long periods of times made sense to the bottom line….still I say you can have / keep that steady income and more than likely added income on top of that by offering individual lessons for sale at a higher rate than usual.. you could say something like “subscribe for a month at such and such dollars for every lesson , or buy one lesson for 1/4 (or what ever percentage works) of every single lesson if you subscribe “ ….I think at this moment monthly subscription is $20+/-, so instead of the old $1.99 per lesson that use to be charged …charge $5 or $6, $7,$8 per song purchase …. That way you probably wouldn’t lose many if any “lazy subscribers” and more than likely have a ton of more sporadic income when new songs are added and or new players find the app…..so that and the lack of record keeping on sales (or lack of going through records to verify purchases ) is why I’m rating 2 stars. The lessons themselves are very decent and comprehensive , but forcing people to spend $20 a month when a ton of us might open the app a couple times a month at the very most for just one or two song per that month seems kind of mean hehe.. and not very “guitar zen like “ lol 7/24/22 update More lessons disappearing , Haven’t been in the app in some time till today…glad I bought lessons instead of “renting” them like all new customers have to….I now think the developers are slowly taking lessons away purposefully , have no proof but it makes no sense otherwise. I know I had stairway to heaven ,possibly beginner and the more advanced but can’t recall if both ….but I know I had a lesson for the stairway to heaven solo that’s not even on the app any longer, never mind in “my lessons” …..again I never took inventory of lessons I own so I’m screwed again .” My lessons” are now down to less than 9 full page ( in landscape mode) where as I use to scroll forever before….feeling robbed because they decided to change their business model …also I didn’t get to it yet so maybe it’s been fixed , but the tabs on some lessons will come up blank or go blank when expanding or scrolling .then u have to close app ,reopen and cross fingers it resets ….I swear if they didn’t keep removing what I paid for they’d have 5 stars in my book …. But apparently getting into peoples wallets is more Important than customers service ..sad thing is I’d more than likely still be buying lessons if it was possible …but I’m not giving you between $120&$160 a year for a couple days worth of use at most . Leaving two stars and not lowering further because the actual lessons I still have (for now) are well made and are very close to song if not perfect mostly . Changing review header though.. Show more

    Bet guitar app to use
I haven’t had great experiences with many guitar apps that make you pay premiums or fees to use the app for beginners, but this app is the real deal and it doesn’t cost as much as apps like Simply Guitar or other guitar apps. Would recommend to anyone with a guitar! Show more

    Used to work perfect
I used to be able to go on whatever lesson I wanted but now if I click on anything, the whole app crashes. I’ve tried to delete and reinstall the app, and it didn’t work. I tried to reset my phone, and it still didn’t work. I even made a whole new account, and it doesn’t work. I’ve checked for updates but guess what, it’s up to date. I’m really disappointed and I used to be able to use the website on my computer for lessons but now all it asks is to sign up for a “free trial” and then it’s over priced. Does anyone else have this problem? Show more

I can’t delete this app off my phone
And I can’t sign up without paying 19.99 which is the reason I want to delete this. I thought it would give me a sample to see if I liked it without having to sign up to pay for it first getting 1 week free trial. They should give you a free trial first then have people sign in to pay because this app may not be the right one for me and there are others that maybe a better fit for me. Show more

    Good app, but huge bug
I’ve learned lots of songs using this app, and the lessons are decent. But when i am trying to learn a song, an ad pops up every other video, which in itself is inconvenient. but when i am on one video and i tap on another when an ad pops up, it won’t switch to the video i tapped on. So i have to watch 2 ads and wait for loading in between everything, so i loose 2 minutes trying to do that. Combine that with every single video i need to watch. Guess i’ll get another guitar app so i can learn it without wasting a lot of my time Show more
