    Solid recording app that gets the job done.
    Sound Studio is an app that gets the job done. Easy enough to use for beginners, yet with plenty of useful features for those who want more power than a simple recorder. It should be noted that this is no high end multitrack application…. even though it can do some rudimentary multitracking. I use it all the time for podcast production and such. Show more

    Sound Studio
    I am an audiologist and have used this program over many versions and many years. It just keeps getting better. The ability to edit speech down to the .000 level and now to set the BPM makes this program an even more useful tool. Show more

    Not a fan of the change to track selection in v. 4.7
    I have been using Sound Studio for years, even before it became a part of the App Store, and have been very satisfied with its ability to convert LPs to digital format. It allowed for single track selection simply by clicking above or below the track, or if both tracks were desired simultaneously, you would click between them. With this latest update to v. 4.7, it now defaults to selecting both tracks, and it is necessary to hold down the Command key to select only one of the stereo tracks. This adds a keystroke to the editing process, since it rarely is desireable to edit both stereo tracks at the same place. I don’t know why this change was made, but if you plan on using it to digitize old LPs. 78s or 45s you may find it somewhat awkward in function. Otherwise it is a very good application, and I will struggle to change my usage habits that had become second nature to me for years before. Show more

    It just gets better
    I have been using SoundStudio for close to a decade and this last version is by far the best. I feel blessed that we have software developers that make our lives easier and more effective with every version. I wish it was the case with every developer! Bravo for this new version. Show more

    Worth the small price
    I recently decided to move from Windows to Mac. One of the problems I have had is finding a piece of software to quickly edit audio in the fashion I am familiar with. This does it. I am use to Sony Sound Forge Studio on Windows. For whatever reason, much of the software I am finding on Mac handles some basic things, such as scrubbing, very differently (and IMO, stupidly). This does everything thing I need for my quick, basic editing, simply, quickly, and precisely. Show more

    LAME is not working
    I followed the instructions to install LAME and run Sound Studio in 32-bit mode, but it’s still not allowing me to save to MP3. I can save MP3s in Fission, but it lacks some of the features that Sound Studio has. In short, this is LAME. Show more

    One of my favorite audio programs
    I’ve been using this for years, since I had my Power Mac. I mostly use it to finish mix-downs & also to prepare tracks created from samples for some of my Spacemusic projects. I’ve also used it to record live audio & I’ve had very few complaints. I just downloaded this new version today on my new Mac Mini, so I’m sure I’ll have some things to add in the future. Always had good results & customer support has been consistently good. Show more

    GREAT FIX
    GREAT FIX on this updated version! Sound Studio is back to doing everything seamlessly. I am super impressed with how quickly they fixed the nasty bugs that were keeping me from being able to copy, paste and change tempo/key. Thank you for not only a great product but excellent customer service. Show more
