So when I got this app I loved it the Introduction was quick so you could get right in to it. But I slowly learned that every song you play you only get one coin… which is fine if you have the patients to play the same song 25 times in a row, but I DO NOT! In the end it was fine, I just wish that there were more selections of songs not having to pay 12.99 month ( I think that’s how much ) for a vip, you only get like 3 to start with and I only knew one of the three. So if you have patients to play a few songs 25 times in a row you should definitely get the app. Also one last thing you don’t have to know how to play piano to play the app it’s super easy and you can chose the level of difficulty. This game was my favorite ON MY ENTIRE PHONE, and then they had to add even more advertisements then there already were. Instead of offering an *incentive* to watch videos for coins so you can unlock songs, the stupid app now harasses you with video ads with no reward. It’s not even after every few songs you play, because I would be fine with that, it is after EVERY. SINGLE. THING. I cannot even GO TO A DIFFERENT MENU SCREEN, WITHOUT GETTING AN AD. i downloaded this on my phone and it worked perfectly fine but i downloaded it on my ipad i just recently got and when i trying to enter the app it kept kicking me out. i dont know if its the app or my ipad. but its a pretty good app other than whats been going on. Show more

I have had a paid version of Magic Piano for years. Why can I no longer conduct a search that brings up Smule songs and not just results among the personally composed songs? Also, I like to do the song of the day, however, the app doesn’t have the right timing on some songs so I don’t even have a fighting chance. I can see how fast a song should be played when I learn it first but when I play the actual song, the notes are coming down too slowly. Show more

To start off with the pros, I love the app it’s really fun and I got really good at it after a while. Idk if it made my reflexes faster but oh well. Anyways, I love music and it’s very easy to just play a song on this app. Now the cons, ads, ads, and ads. Oh and people making bad music. I once google golden hour and it was random keys. Besides those flaws this game is amazing. Suggestion: Maybe you guys could make more games like this. Like maybe magic keyboard or magic trumpet or other instruments. I think apps like this with different instruments would pop off and become popular. Or, update this app and add more instruments. Show more

They charge $9.99 per week. Never heard of weekly charges, very sneaky , if you were not careful, you will end up paying about $40/month just for this app. Ridiculous!!!

The app is really awesome and it WAS the only game I ever wanted to play, there are no ads unless you watch one for the game currency, but I was playing a song and there was no sound. I tried to refresh the game, assuming it was a bug, but no use. After that, the game was pointless. Show more

Please update the app to accommodate iOS 16! Every time I try to play I get a pop up on rue screen asking me to “undo, cut, delete, paste, redo”. It’s annoying and I can’t see what notes are coming down next. Sometimes when I hit the notes, it says “nothing to undo”. Never had this problem until I upgraded my iOS. And it seems like this app hasn’t been upgraded in over a year. Please update to a new version. Show more

I’ve been playing Magic Piano for about 10 years. It’s good at what it does, and new users will likely enjoy it for some time. However. I’ve made numerous attempts to get a meaningful reply from customer support and the developers, and never received more than a thanks we’ll forward your concerns. The single most bothersome thing about it is the composer mode. Sure, this allows for people (some extraordinarily good at it) to add songs to the game. Seems great. Here’s the problem…. If I spend untold hours of my time going through the painstaking process of placing hundreds of individual notes, I get nothing in return but ratings from other users. Those other users are spending in game currency to play the song you put on there. It’s not free. The developers are further profiting from this practice. Also, anyone can modify and upload it as their own with minimal changes. This has created sometimes hundreds of duplicate or near duplicate copies of someone’s very hard work. I’ve seen numerous prolific “composers” stop adding new music, or, deleting their accounts and originals altogether. My last unanswered email to the developers referenced all of this, including that I would no longer be financially supporting the app with a subscription. So, to the public it goes. Show more

Yes, it is the most annoying ad heavy app ever. I don’t mind and understand having an occasional ad, but now before and after every song you will be subjected to the most annoying ads. I give up! If this apps aim is to make it so no one wants to play, then congrats, you’ve successfully done that. Show more

I installed it and opened it and it just sat there for like 5 minutes and stayed at the loading screen. Didn’t move didn’t do anything. I don’t know if it was just me but it didn’t work. Show more

Decided to give this app another try. Tried to switch a song to easy mode, which as I remember was only ONE color, not two. Not fun anymore

Yes, great app, have had it forever, will be totally willing to pay once I get money again. However, there’s still some big issues: - smula is impossible to earn and songs are obnoxiously expensive - you can’t tell which songs from your “song list” you’ve bought with smula, so you have to scroll through all of them and guess, then sit there for way too long while the app tells you to get premium or earn more smula (or while you watch an ad) - you can’t chose to remove a song from your song list, and on the other hand, you could play a song 50 times and it still doesn’t get added. Your songlist should be editable, and you should be able to favorite songs. - people are able to review songs after not even playing one note. That’s stupid. They should have to play the whole song first to review it, because they don’t even give songs a chance (understandable some actually are bad, but some of them are just different renditions of popular-to-copy songs and people thumbs down them just because they’re different than what they’re used to hearing. - there isn’t a “neutral review.” You can’t offer tips / critiques without thumbing down, which affects the percentage, which deters people if it gets too low and then it can’t be changed from then on cause no one will play it. Then these ones are just preferable suggestions that you can ignore: - Sell “no ads.” Right now I play this game enough to want no ads, but not enough to pay premium at the moment. - Reward premium players. In the past I’ve had premium for like 2+ years with nothing to show for it. Not bonus smula for when I lost premium, no permanently removed ads, no nothing. It’d be nice to feel appreciated for supporting the app instead of like you have to pay to play. It’s a piano game, come on man. But still a great game lol Show more
