    Not enough time
This is the best ear training app I have found. It has flexibility and great sound quality. The only problem for me is I did extremely well with the first steps I mastered them right away. When I got to harmonic chords I hit a wall. I have been stuck for 6 months working on it several times a week. The requirement of 4 seconds for each chord is too short. Could you make an adjustment to 6 seconds? Thanks. I changed my review to 5 stars. It is very challenging and most useful. Thanks, Stephanie. Any plans to add chord progressions? Show more

    Game Center issues
UPDATE: I like the app, but the game center will still not enable on this Ipad Air 2 or the new 9.7 I just bought yesterday. I have reinstalled the app and still the same bug. Is there any specific help to correct this issue? How do I fix this? Just reinstalled and everything. Show more

My ear is middle-aged...and so are my eyes!
Haven’t taken music theory since the 80s. Back then I had a near-perfect ear and 20/20 vision—not so anymore, fellow travelers! This is a really great app, as thumb-based ear training goes. But some of the chapters that precede the exercises use small, light-weight fonts and the screens can’t be stretched. So if you really need to know the three alternate names for a diminished fifth chord, you may need a magnifying glass to read the superscript. Show more

    Missing features
It’s a really good app but I don’t like that the android version has the option to change the audio instrument from piano to Guitar etc.. and with the IPhone variant you can’t do the same Show more

    I Want to Squeal
I absolutely love this app! It's helped me so much in the last few months and I couldn't be more grateful! And the developers are super responsive - just lovely, let me tell you! Thank you so much for the app and help! This has been the life enhancer of the ages. Thank you! Show more

    Excellent
My few complaints are minor. Add a guitar sound. The piano is quality, but I'm a guitarist and would prefer it. I'd be willing to pay an extra dollar for other instruments. The drills are very difficult, but justifiably so. Growing your aural skills takes a long time, and no one should expect to become a master in a month. This is an app to use for years to come. On the other hand you can create custom drills to work on where you are having difficulty. This is unlocked in the full version purchased in-app for $2.99 - a worthwhile price if you ask me. My primary complaint is that it is not obvious that many features are locked until you purchase the full version. At first I thought it was because I had not progressed. This turned out to be true in the long run, as unlocking the full version does not open up further parts of the app other than customizable drills. To unlock those parts you must succeed on previous lessons and drills. If it does unlock more than the personal drills, it is not clear, nor am I sure that my $3 was justified as a result. The way this was done is confusing. Show more

Among the Finest Apps for Musicians
This app is extraordinarily comprehensive - an amazing value. It will prove difficult for those without aural skills training, and one really ought to use earbuds to hear the exercises properly. However, I've been using it to help prepare for graduate school entrance exams and it has proved both challenging and useful. Highly recommended! Show more

    Very Frustrating
I've had this app for about a week and a half now and no matter how hard I try I can't seem to get passed the 3rd drill (melodic p4, p5, p8). Even more frustrating, the app will only tell you you're wrong and what the correct answer is. I'd really love to move on to another chapter, but as hard as I work there's seemingly no progress being made. The app offers no tips or tricks when stuck, no helpful hints or any options to limit how many octaves it cycles through. It would be great if there was an 'easy mode' to begin with, maybe telling you what note the interval starts with, or some other visual aid. I gave this 2 stars because it's well designed and I want to believe in it and will keep working at it, but until then I might find better luck with another app. Show more
