Art math science 3d spatial oh yeah music.

First I bought the cd....well actually first I fell in love with her back in the late 80s when the sugar cubes was on SNL then I bought each of her solo albums as they were released along with singles videos movies bootlegs. I purchased the actual cd first but eventually bought the app a few months ago and definately unlike some of the other reviewers I do not regret it. Like her music I am still learning and hearing something new when I open it up. This is not really something that you can expect to get full satisfaction from on the first couple times you play with it which is a good thing cos what would be the point afterwards. I think it was a great purchase and every time I go on it it takes me to another galaxy as intended.....oh it's also cool as hell if you smokin some good green! Show more

I have been a fan for over 20 years saw her when the sugarcubes was touring with new order nothing that her musical genius disappoints but the one thing that does is I just wanted to listen to the cd all the way though I purchased on ITunes most nights I listen to the goddess falling asleep with my headphones on had to purchase cd to listen without having to navigate but besides that 5 stars voice so beautiful touches a deep part of my soul Show more

The best I can say is that the interface is a little bit interesting. The only actual song included for free is just plain BAD - most high schoolers could do better. It's embarrassing. And it doesn't help that Bjork's English has, if anything, actually gotten worse over time. I would mind all this less if this wasn't such a HUGE download - my iPad doesn't have infinite MBs. No where near as cool as I thought it'd be. If it was a $5 app I guess it wouldn't be so bad, but $13? Waste of money.

Ive redownloaded the app from the iCloud- never bought any of the song app before- and this morning everything was bought right when I opened up the app. Freaky. But whatever I like the album and the app. Great concept. Show more

I read that this was the first album to be released as an app so I bought the app, not the album. Although a breakthrough concept (and I'm a huge bjork fan), i wish you'd also be able to enjoy all the album songs while not having to physically 'explore' this galaxy/app or make a separate purchase in iTunes. Just download it. Amazing.

I would like the tracks to be "purchased" on iTunes as a result of buying the app. Seems strange to pay again for the actual audio tracks. At least enable background music playing and a simple playlist so I can listen with my screen off and without using extra GPU and battery. Dropped a star as a result of these issues. Show more

Björk has done something really special here. This app is unconventional, experimental, and delightfully immersive. I experienced her album through this app, and I've really enjoyed it.

My problem with this app is that it is too big and it won't go away. I don't want it anymore but I can't get rid of it and the update takes up too much space and takes too long to download. Beware, once you get this, like a zombie, it keeps rising from the dead and won't go away. Show more

This is the most amazing interactive musical app and experience I have ever had. I kind of like Bjorks music but this combination is groundbreaking. I would quickly start spending more money on music if my favorite bands started doing this. This is the ?!!! Show more

1.5 update- what's the point to pre-existing users? We're still ripped off for being early adopters, now another update that does nothing to balance this inequity? What a joke! This update just makes it easier for those who are buying now, & who gives a toss about about who paid nearly twice for the same? Not the developers, that's for sure. Thanks for that! Really cool of you! Update: this review pertains to the 1.4 update in particular. I have no problems w/ the app other than paying for the 1st 4 songs then paying for the full album. This update mentions some 'special offer' for those early adopters such as myself who basically paid twice for the same thing. I have yet to see anything in the app that refences any 'bonus' and I'm wondering if anyone else has? It's one thing to know I've paid twice for the material, but to later promise a bonus and not come through is kind of like opening a healed wound, then throwing salt in it. Am I missing something? If they're not gonna' give this 'special offer' to early adopters, why bring it up & remind us of how we got burnt in the first place? My rating still stands but I don't understand why the empty promises on top of charging us almost twice? And I mean gone! So I have one question: on the left under Top In-App Purchases there are 2, 1 for Crystalline and 1 to pre-purchase all. Does anyone know how to pre-purchase all? I've looked all around & haven't found a way yet. Show more
