    Terrific sounds
Please add audiobus support!!! This app would become incredibly useful with the implementation of audiobus. No app offers this level of expressive orchestral instruments. Make it happen Mr.Developer :) saving the last star for audiobus... Show more

Fun but not what I wanted it for.
I like that I can record little songs and I could probably get good at it. But I don't want to have to connect to my computer to get .wav files. I think it should export right into my music library so I can access my custom songs from other apps or add them to playlists. Add that option to the next update. Show more

    Good Orchestral Tool
Great for sketches! Please add Audiobus support. Having the ability to get these sounds into a true multitrack DAW using the microphone as a controller would be very cool! (even if Audiobus support was an in-app purchase) Show more

    Amazing App for Composers
Even in the demo version, I think this app offers a great amount. I personally love the tenor sax and flute instruments included, because they sound very expressive and REAL, and are the best I've ever seen in an app. I love the features that it offers, including the octave buttons (very creative and useful, it makes it very easy to play wider ranges) the transpose button, and the mic breathe controller. If there was any improvements I would be fully satisfied with for this app, it would be a metronome and faster initial loading. A lot of the time, when I start the app, even when no other apps are being used, it crashes right as it's loading, so that would be a great bug to fix. Other than that, the app is outstanding. :) Show more

    How do you restore purchases?
I bought every instrument, accidentally erased it from my iPad, put it back on and all my purchased instruments were gone. Any help?

    Great app for orchestral sketching
Personally I love this app for quick sketching. If you are dong orchestral work, it's a great tool for simple sketches on the go. It's an iPhone and not meant t be a full blown DAW. I own several big sample libraries and don't compare them to this, you can't. It's not meant to be another Garage Band. Good use some updates on the recording but I find myself sketching in this app (especially the woodwinds) more than any others. Show more

    Nice, but useless and overpriced
Way too expensive. Garage band is much better and it's only $5. Why would anyone pay $15 for far less functionality.

Not a serious music creation app
I'm very disappointed in this app because is does not do what it advertises. My list: 1. The app claims you can "write" up to 99 orchestral pieces; however, there is no "score" which you can see. It just records each instrument that you play into the record by tapping a limited 2-octave piano keyboard. So,while it will record a 5-minute song, if you are trying to make a 2-part violin harmony, you better either - write out the score long hand, and tap it in perfectly during performance, or - memorize each part perfectly, again, tapping it in perfectly during performance. 2. Unlike Garage Band, where there's a score you can edit after performing it, there is NO edit feature. SO, 3 minutes into your tapping on the piano key, you hit one wrong note, DO-OVER, all from the start. 3. The limited range of instruments - 2 octaves? The great thing about cellos is the deep lows and the piercing highs - not on here. If you want to play a Casio recorder to hear some nice orchestra sounds, this is the app for you. If you want to create a nice orchestral piece like heard in the Demo, I do not see how that would be possible with this app, which I do feel is deeply misrepresented by their advertising. Show more

    No Blutooth?
Ever other app that makes any kind of sound will play over bluetooth to external speakers. Did you go to extra effort just to disable bluetooth in this app? Daaaaam. Show more

Poor sound + One note at the time
This App is not free, and judging by the quality of the samples the full version should cost $5 instead of $15 (for a full orchestra sound bank). The developer forgot to mention a very important detail: You cannot play two or more notes at the same time. This is a "single note" virtual instrument, like a 1980 Casio keyboard. It is unbelievable that you cannot play chords with this app. Neither two notes at the same time as you would do with a real music instrument. The limitation of one note has no justification. Any other virtual instrument app on the AppStore offers multiple note play and 16-24bit samples. Wi-Orchestra features low quality samples. The entire brass library plays a weird high pitch noise along with the instrument sound (bad compression artifacts), which makes any recording sound like cheap midi track. Once you download this "free app" you will be asked to spend $15 to have the missing music instruments. The free version only come with 4 low-fi basic music instruments. I don't suggest to spend any dime unless the developer offers an upgrade with: - multiple note play keyboard - hi quality samples (without compression noise) - a slider to choose the right amount of reverb (instead of on/off) - and possibly a notation tab Overall this app simply requires a bit more love. If fixed it could be a 5+ stars app. Show more

    Quite good
I would rate this app higher if I could more than one note at a time on the non percussion instruments.

    Meh...
How can we play anything decently with less than one octave visible on the screen? Constantly using the buttons to switch octaves makes it awkward to play any fast riffs, and half the time the app seems to freeze up (no sound) when I try to switch octaves. Add an option to display a full octave or more and I will improve my review. Check out "Pianist" and "Organist" in the app store to see examples of apps that do allow users to choose the number of keys displayed at once (up to 4 octaves displayed together in the Organist app, even on a tiny iPhone screen--I love it!). For now, WI Orchestra is basically just a mildly frustrating toy, not a real musical instrument or composition device. :( Show more

Cool App! Needs staff or midi scroll
I love this App. I compose for a living so this is a fun airport/waiting-room/etc. diversion. Sounds are good, and it's worth the cost to upgrade the orchestra by section. Just go for it, you will be glad you did. The only thing I wish this app had was an actual notation interface, or at least a running midi-scroll. As it is, everything is composed via overdubbing, one instrument at a time. Which is fun; and challenging if in a rubato tempo. Still a good time, but it would be equally cool and even more fun if a score mode was available. All around, great job though. The breath mode is really intuitive and great imitations of real techniques can be accessed if you work your breath right and experiment. Update with a score function and this one is a home run. I love this app
I have had this for quite a long time, time to give it some love. It is not perfect as you can see from other comments yet for what you get and considering it all can fit in your pocket, I think it is outstanding and a step above in it's class. The sound is amazing, the controls are intuitive and the fun factor is out the roof. With some additions and tuning I think this app could be the best, even appeasing to the professionals out there. For a casual user like myself I highly recommend it and in noway feel I have loss my investment in this app and if more instruments come out I will gladly dig my pockets. Get it! And thank you developers for this awesome app!!! Show more

    Pointless
I found it to be pretty useless and boring.
