Excellent app for learning the notes on the fretboard. Keeps track of your progress and helps tremendously. The free version has ads every few minutes but once you buy the instruments it is unlimited and well worth the small price to learn the notes on the go. Show more

Learning the fretboard is very difficult. This helps, but I can think of one improvement. Currently, the moment you touch your answer to indicate your note guess, the question-mark-circle location on the fretboard disappears, replaced with a "correct" or "incorrect" notice. It would be strongly beneficial if the location circle would remain in view for a few seconds to allow the brain to absorb the association between the correct note and its location on the fretboard. Theres plenty of other apps that do this exact same thing for free. Dont buy this

I am a multi-instrumentalist, but have had no previous experience with strings. This app does well for me, particularly with the exercises that teach fingering to standard notation.
