this app is free so my feeling is no negativity allowed . . . period. But, it would be nice if you could ‘rewind’ to the start of a song instead of going to the previous song. The app seems to work in MacOS 10.13 and iTunes 12.7, and yes, it puts some basic iTunes controls in the menu bar, and the controls work. I just don’t think the app is well thought out, and its not designed very well either. The app has two items in the menu bar if you want the controls in the menu bar too. There does not need to be two items in the menu bar, its a waste of precious menu bar real estate. I’m going to uninstall. Show more

Great little app for controlling iTunes. I started out only using the play/pause, next, and back buttons but have also gotten used to having the additional controls just a click away in the menu bar. Well done! Show more

YouControl Tunes has major licensing issues since its "company" doesn't exist anymore and I'm tired of figuring out how to fix it everytime I update anything. This kinda does the same thing. It has no ticker for the song name or customizeable icons though. It does display the album cover art inline which is neat. This actually crashes MORE than YouControl Tunes did in El Capitan though haha. Show more

Love the ability to rate songs from any desktop without having to navigate back to iTunes. Simple, yet effective. It could be taken to the next level with a keyboard shortcut to access the menu allowing the ability to rate songs without mouse interaction. Show more

Like others, I think this is a good app, but the recent updates (OS X 10.11.5 and iTunes 12.4.0) have made the app stop working. It will start to open, then immediately close. I miss it now that I can’t use it. Show more

This is a great app for controlling a few basic features of iTunes. When enabled, it puts Previous Track, Play/Pause, Next Track, and album art (optionally) in the task bar. Nice and simple. I think this functionality could be minimally extended by actually fast forwarding or rewinding when we press on the fast forward/next or rewind/previous icons. But, overall great work and kudos to the developer(s). Show more

I had no trouble installing this app or using it. It's seamless, and even looks pretty nice. But it's also pretty basic. It lacks volume controls, genius, shuffle, etc., thing that are normally pretty basic functions. However, it's freeware, and I understand that. Show more

This app allows me to control my iTunes from my Mac's menu bar perfectly. It did a good job.

As the title states, this app does the job. There is no way to change settings such as: button styles, scrolling track info, a way to remove the app logo (don’t want extra unneeded clutter on my menu bar). I was using You Control iTunes, was a perfect simple app. I bought a new MBP and it looks like the app is no longer supported and isn’t taking new registrations. I would reccommend adding a prefrences menu with various options. Show more

I am grateful for a app like this. I have a request for the developer, iTunes Radio compatablilty. I would like to tell the menu bar "Play more like this", the controls you get inside of iTunes. Thanks again for this free application. Show more
