Just switched to this after being a long time Synergy user. It's pretty clear that Synergy will never again be viable, but I digress. TunesArt turned out to be a good solution for me. I don't use lyrics, so I can't speak to that feature. But everything else I tried works well and as the title say, I'm quite happy. Show more

I bought this because the free version was too unstable with Lion, but this one doesn't have the automatic lyric fetching capabilities!!! They were having some problems with the copyright of the lyrics, so I guess they just decided to omit the feature altogether, but still its 8 bucks down the drain for me… Oh well... Show more

Scrobbling tracks played on iPod/iPhone doesn't work. Please fix it!

I bought this app thinking I would get the same feature I had with the free version, but I was wrong. The only thing I wanted this app was because of fetching lyrics automatically into the file metadata, but now is gone!!!!!!….It's not worthy. DON'T BUY THIS APP UNLESS THEY RETURN ALL THE FEATURES IT HAD ON THE FREE VERSION!!!!. Show more

I bought this app a few months back and it was great because it integrated the lyrics so well. However, now im not sure if it really supports lyrics - not sure of all the legal issues - but without lyrics support it lost a lot of functionality. Show more

A feature that will complete the app would be automatic lyrics fetching à la iClip Lyrics, hopefully in an update in the near future. The Album Cover names should be displayed in the preferences along with a numerical sequence e.g. Plain - 1 of 8 for easier sorting. The notifications (play, pause, previous, next etc.) interface from Coversutra will give some cues: It's transparent (much cooler!) and fades in/out more quickly/fluidly. Show more

The history of this app its phantastic, free and clean app complement for iTunes. But since Lion it crashes constantly. Tunesart isnt avaiable for free anymore and is unusable… When is coming the update? Show more

The app itself is great, but has this really annoying bug that makes it refuse to launch. I have to remove the app and reinstall it every single time I boot my Mac. I bought it because I used the old free version and wanted to support the developer, but I'm regretting I did so. The old version just worked smoothly and showed the lyrics, not just a link to a website, which is really frustrating. Show more

What I like about TunesArt is it offers good "hotkey" controls, uploads to Last.fm and places an album cover and currently playing song/artist on your desktop. Unfortunately, the current version of the app is hard to enjoy due to the fact that it occasionally refuses to launch. The only way to get it to launch is to go into Library/Application Support folder and delete the TunesArt folder and then launch the app again. Sadly, this problem has existed for over a month now and there is still no fix from the developer. Fix the problems and this becomes a 5 star app. Show more

No longer embeds the lyrics. Even the free program use to do that. Right now, this is a waste of money.

Phenomenal for cover art and hunting down pesky lyrics but it routinely stops launching on Lion. When it does only trashing and reinstalling will get it going again.

App does exactly what it says (which is rare, trust me). Buy it, you won't be dissapointed.

I love this app more than Coversutra but it crashes constantly on Lion with the only solution being a stupid script I have to run every so often so that the app I paid for will launch again... Fix your bugs. Show more

The lyrics arent apearing on the program!! I always has to see it on the website!! Please fix it, I paid 6,99!!

I love that I got this APP =) I've been looking for an APP that can automatically search album covers for all my music with none. The only thing that I noticed about a few covers is that it wasn't to accuarate but I can say about 90% of it was on point! Def happy with this APP regardless! Show more

EDIT: Used AppCleaner (free download) to remove the old version. Then the new version worked properly. I love the clean, elegant desktop cover art display. The menu bar item is also indespensible, especially because it can be configured to show current song info just by putting your mouse over it. I also use it to scrobble my tracks and rate them while they're playing. The lyrics window is excellent and can automatically embed songs with downloaded lyrics. There are dozens of other features that I don't use, but the preferences window is well organized and the program is lightweight even with all the extras included. Great for everyone. Show more

TunesArt is so fabulous! A couple of features need to be address though 1) I tried the desktop album cover theme which has playing time indication on it (no cover art), then, set "double click action" as artist information, but it's not work as I double-click on the name of song or artist. 2) Hope to see auto-find lyrics feature like the auto-find artwork do in future 3) The lyrics window still have scrollbar not tuned to Lion feeling. This is the perfect companion to iTunes. It's simple, functional and it makes your desktop look much cooler. With all it's features it's by far my favorite Mac cover display/mini player. The lyrics mode is also a great addition. The only thing I dislike in v1.5 is the new control interface over the cover art. The older one was much less intrusive in my opinion. Show more
