    I don't know what happened to this app, but it does not work properly on ios 6. Scales do not display properly.

    Pretty useful
    I have been using this for a while now. Best uses are tuning, finding alternate chord fingerings, and probably the metronome (which I should use more). I would LOVE to be able to tap a string and hear the single fretted note. I might even pay for that ability but I sure wont pay for different skins. I'm currently uninterested in alternate tunings, which cost extra, but it would probably be worth it for others. Some of the tools are interesting, like seeing the intervals on a scale. Might be useful someday. Overall, the free version is pretty nice. Paid versions don't yet have much appeal. Show more

    Brilliant - has bugs to work out though
    I wrote a lengthy review of the Mandolin Companion app, and I'm happy to see new tunings and such for the Uke Companion. Problem though: ever since the update, every 9th chord for every note has disappeared. Crazy! I should probably update to ios6.0 soon though... Regardless, fantastic app. Show more

    Bummer
    Every time I open the app, it goes to the "Tuning Up" screen and then crashes. Too bad, it looks like a fun app and I'm picking up uke for the very first time. Show more

    Nicely designed, fun way to learn/lookup chords and scales
    Now that the latest update has fixed the previous startup issues with iOS 6, this is a nicely designed app that makes it easy to find and play around with chords and scales up and down the ukulele neck. The only negative is that skins and alternate tunings should be included in the price (skins at the very least), but it's certainly y the developer's right to try to make as much money as possible.     Freezes up since I updated my 4s.
    Too bad it freezes, other then that it would be a great app. It's laid out well and is very helpful, WHEN IT WORKS! Now I'll have to find another app for my Mandolin. Show more

    Freezes
    I updated the app in io6 and it freezes on the splash page virtually 100% of the time. I'll re-review it if it works itself out.

    Excellent app
    If only I could marry and app. But really, this app is really great for people learning ukulele.

    It was a five star...
    But I bought the B tuning and the F# and B notes don't play but the D# and A# work just fine. Please fix it and I will give five stars back. Show more
