Doesn't let me convert multiple files at once.

Tried dragging and dropping files, and nothing happens. Don't waste your time.

I have Pro, not Pro 3 , which won't let me post to that newer app, so I'm writing it here, instead. In Pro, the default postion, when wanting to change the title of a file, is TV Series, which then changes the file listing from 1080P, for instance to S01 E03, for example. I wish you would change that to let me choose the default postion that I want (movie, TV series, or home movie are the choices now). Either that, or let it stay on the last one chosen, although I would prefer the former. Do that and I would change my rating to 5 stars. Show more

Why can't I view the extension that I am converting to? I need to convert a .MOV file to a .mp4, but all I can see is the possible devices to convert to. I don't need to know the device...I need to know what file type I am actually converting to. Show more

I like the App a lot, I ended up paying for Smart Converter Pro 2 to unlock all the features. The App worked great until they released Smart Converter Pro 3. Now, when I convert a file I cannot sync it in my iPad Pro, but the weird thing about it is that all the other files I converted (before the SCP3 was released) work fine, is just the new ones, which makes me think they just release new versions and deactivate old ones to get your money. I really like this app and it works great; it allows me to convert any file into nearly any other type of media file I may need quickly and efficienty. There is, however, a terrible flaw with this software. When files finish converting, the software automatically sends the file to iTunes or AppleTV (depending on if its music or audio). Since this feature can not be turned off, it can be quite annoying as it causes my computer to glitch when converting while simultaenously running my production software suites. Additionally, I often need to convert MP3 to WAV files and MOV files to MP4 files, so it automatically sends the new file to iTunes or AppleTV and then the file gets synced across all my iCloud enabled devices. This is exceptionally frustrating as the converted file is only needed for a piece of a larger project so I dont need it sent across all my devices. Please fix this issue or reply with a solution and I will update this review to 5 stars. Show more

so why must it send to Apple TT app? and why can't I select where it saves file? Easy drop in file and click convert after clicking on icon for type of usage. I am not a fan of this kind of interface. Woud rather have a drop down menu to select format but it's ok. But then I must find the program created folder to see converted file AND close the Apple TV app that I didn't want opened. 4 stars for conversion and being free. -1 star for annoying extra clicks to find file and shut down Apple TV. I convert downloaded movies for my Apple TV 4. This version doesn't do subtitles, but it works fine (real slow) and places the files in AppleTV app on my computer which I can access from my Apple TV 4. For Free, it's fine. For subtitles I use VLC and airplay. I was thinking of upgrading so I can get subtitles on Smart Converter. Also, it's nice to pay people for their hard work. Show more

If you want to convert an audio file to a different format, it doesn't let you select the bitrate. It doesn't even tell you what bitrate it's going to use.

I originally thought this was a great app, but it disappeared on my last upgrade so I had to dl it again. Now when I use it my Mac overheats and it takes hours to convert one file. Show more

Can't open the DV files recorded via iMovie 15 years ago.

Yeah, the new look looks awesome however it doesnt look nothing as the pictures on the App Store here. Whatever words are appearing on the left next to “convert” they seems to have a contrast problem or something . Really hard to read . New version just gives Conversion Error on everything. No way to go back to the previous, working version.

The one file type (VOB) I downloaded this app for, is not able to be converted. Whats the point of a video converter that cant convert the types of video files? Show more

Converted an avi from my Garmin dash cam and the video was all choppy. Absolute joke.

This app is really great and I don't mind any of the ads I just wish that you could group convert. Select a few files drop them into the app and select the format. Because it's painfully slow doing that one by one when you have a 22 files series which has 8 seasons Show more
