Just got a new iPad and this is the first app I download. It’s on my phone. It’s a tuner. Nothing more or less. Simple enough for a boomer.

I downloaded this app to find out what notes were where on an Atamatone that I recently purchased. It is an indispensable app for use with this instrument. There are only a few notes in the very lowest frequencies where it could not pick up accurately, (below 40hz). It is fun messing with resonances, and this app allows you to see the note and frequency of the sound being produced, (including the human voice)! Look at the notes of your favorite songs and see if you are on pitch while you sing along! It is a sweet app! Show more

O was tuning my new ukulele and was trying to get a g note and. It wasn’t quite right so I kept tightining it and it broke.

This is the most accurate and dependable of my tuners. 3 headstock I now use for backup only.

THIS APP IS AWESOME, so much freedom in tuning. I can tune to any note and frequency worth playing. All for free!

Only has banner ads which is nice

App does what is expected, and does it well, but when done tuning, it frequently won’t close! Seen 9 times out of 10. Only way I have found to close this app when it ignores a “close swipe” is to turn off the iPhone and restart. Only then will this app allow itself to be closed. This is annoying, and battery draining. Still gave it 4 stars because it is a free app, but would have been 5 stars otherwise. Show more

This is a no nonsense tuner. It isn’t fancy, but it works great for tuning and luthier work on tap tuning the plates and Ao, Bo, and Co frequencies. It’s also good for pitch training. Show more

Best feature: Large read-out. It’d be an exaggeration to claim one can read it from across the room, but not much of an exaggeration.

This is the best tuning app I have ever used. My only complaint, which is minor -it only displays in landscape. I use this with my iPad while I am practicing. playing stringed instruments, I go back-and-forth from my sheet music app to the tuner, as needed. I have my tablet in a vertical orientation for reading charts so I have to read the tuner sideways since it only opens horizontally. It would be great if it flipped to portrait.Otherwise, this app performs very well, even in slightly noisy environments. Show more

Very accurate and easy to use

Guitar tuna is great if you’re a beginner, but this is so much better for tuning down, training your voice etc. it is the superior guitar tuning app
