DO NOT BUY!!!!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!
I paid $9.99 for the complete hymnal and have nothing to show for it. First it made me re-purchase it, then it still did not add the other songs. When I try to select one of the purchased songs, it says, "missing resources, attempting to download". Then it says, "your purchased content has successfully downloaded". When I try to select one of the purchased songs, it goes through the whole process again. I have updated, reinstalled, and contacted Lifeway, and nothing has helped. Do not throw your money away on this app. Show more

Great features, has been very helpful, a little overpriced though
Beautiful hymns! I lead in the music at my church and this app has been very helpful. Fortunately, we had already been using the printed versions of this hymnal for the congregation to follow along. I really like the 'set list' feature, I just wish it allowed for more than 1 set list ! That would be fantastic and much appreciated. One unfortunate glitch is that every so often, the hymns get erased and you have to re-download them. That has been frustrating since I've been caught a few times on stage having to scramble to get my set list. Overall, a great way to conveniently carry 674 hymns! Also, it has been handy in being able to take to practice whenever. Show more

    Please incorporate page turns
Please incorporate page turns into the app. Having to exit the song to go to the next song from the set list or the main list really cuts into the flow. Show more

    Disappearing Resources
Really, really, really slow 674 hymn download. Absolutely maddening! Especially upsetting when the hymns that took an agonizingly long time to download just plain VANISH! I really feel that I wasted my $9.99 on this app because it is sooooooo undependable. Do not waste your money. Lifeway support's only suggestion was the usual delete and reinstall. Big help-NOT. It deserves 1 star
The hymnal worked beautifully until the iOS8 update. I have iOS8 on my iPad Air but I cannot access my hymns for which I paid extra. Yes, I loved this app so much that I purchased all of the extra hymns. As soon as this bug is fixed, I will be glad to change my review. Until then, you get 2 stars. Show more

    Update fail
Please fix this! I have the paid version and have NO access to any hymns. I use this app weekly as the church pianist and need it.

    Baptist Hymnal update
Terrible update. I can't pull up any song, because the app says that some information is missing. It then tries to download, but that's unsuccessful. I have vision problems, and depend on my iPad Hymnal. Please fix these problems SOON ! Show more

Major problem with update. I had the full paid version and after the update, I've got one song showing. I've deleted and reinstalled twice to no avail. I can do a search in the app for a song and now it is asking me to buy the paid version again. Surely they check the functionality of these updates before they post them? Hopefully they will repair this soon. I use this at a nursing home on Wednesday mornings and today I'll be inconvenienced. Show more

    New up dated App
Latest app does not provide listing of hymns, nor does allow down loading of songs for which I purchased. Please fix this issue.

    Abandoned?
Such potential but it seems the developers have walked away from ever doing any updates. A couple of simple changes and this thing is awesome, even for a guy like me leading modern worship weekly with a band. Why they made the decision to have pages scroll up and down instead of having page turns like every other eBook in existence is a mystery? Fix that alone and I’ll add a 4th star. Next, they never tap into the actual potential of the iPad to set up set list, do advances searches by theme, scripture reference, and a host of other ways. A print hymnal offers much more indexing potential than this digital one. So frustrating, so close yet so far. Show more
